I built this gun from spare parts and it was pretty accurate out to 20 yards.
Good enough for tree rat (aka fox squirrel) duty.
To honor the occasion I made a custom bolt so I know at a glance which weapon to grab.
Things can get quite hectic in the heat of battle as you all know.....LOL
Modified a stock 13xx bolt with a tire valve thread and added a Rat Fink valve cap.
Edit: In spite of it's pedestrian appearance, this gun packs a punch.
625 FPS (12.4 FPE) with a 20" barrel in 22 cal. 10 pumps and 14.3 CPHPs.
724 FPS (9.19 FPE) with an 18" barrel in 17 cal. 10 pumps and 7.9 CPHPs.

Ok,
That's the coolest "just for fun" mod I've seen in a long time !
Very nice !
-
Love it!
-
Something tells me Big Daddy Roth would love that too! Very cool indeed...
-
Lol. Nice work.
-
Very cool, sounds like it shoots well too.
-
Made me smile !

Nice, should fit all the other valve cap art. Dice, skull, lighted, etc.
-
I would pay for a part like that.

Enough of this "Tom Foolery", it's time to get serious.....LOL
Made an adjustable trigger for the Rat gun:
Replaced the two stock .125" pivot pins with .128" drill rod cut to length.
Rounded the head of a 4-40 brass screw and slotted the threaded end.
Modified an old school steel trigger instead of the pot metal stock trigger.
Made a brass safety.
Drilled an access hole for adjustment.
The 1701 trigger blade fits nicely in the 13xx frame.
P/N 2220-019 $5.42

Nice work! If you don't mind devulging, what special tools do you use in your mods? Thank you for the Tom Foolerey, I think it is all about personalization, which I don't think many vendors get. The valve cap handle mod has been around for some years, with some vendors questioning if it is strong enough, all the while working on guns that started with a plastic breach, and handles extended plus oversized. Thank you for your posts.

No special tools but I have a 9" South Bend Junior lathe with little Makita router in place of the tool post.
Has 1/8", 3/16", 1/4" and 3/8" collets which makes it very versatile.
Can use drill bits, ends mills, die grinder bits, router bits, Dremel bits etc.
Also have a degree wheel.
Can be dangerous so need to have things locked down with stops set.

Thanks for pictures. I'm starting to think of going more creative in this area, so I've been looking over some of the Unimat stuff. Just would like to keep things small for our rv trailer. Seems to be way to have a little fun and side step these serious part sources that don't acknowlege the for fun aspect of mods.

Amazing, looks very good, nice work!

Talent! 8)

I love all of the creativity that has been shared on this thread! 8)

I see you have a psi gauge on it. What psi is it producing at those power levels? I like your trigger idea! What vavle work have you done?

The gun with a gauge is my G2 which stands for gauge and grenade as it has a grenade bolt.
It has a 66 pump tube, 766 pump link, FT piston and valve, Challenger barrel, 1701 trigger group.
The valve has a Delrin stem, ported .157" port, light valve spring,
10 pumps registers 1550 psi on the gauge at 750 FPS with 7.9 grain CPHPs.
I use 9.57 grain H&N Barracuda Extreme pellets exclusively for hunting and pest control.
That gun is my most accurate gun. Bagged 110 fox squirrels with it last year.
