The most important thing that keeps me going here is simply the caliber of family members we have on GTA Forums. I truly believe we have a collection of the finest people in the WORLD right here. And I am extremely proud to call you family. And when a family member needs our support, they usually don't even have to let it be made public and the support comes at them when they need it the most. I hope all of you have seen the announcement we made a few days ago about supporting a great GTA family member by offering a love gift they definitely need. If you missed it, you can catch up here.

What I am about to do is a first for GTA Forums. The goal that was set on the GoFundMe page has just gone over half way. What we want to do is push the total to the goal and hopefully over. A very generous member (that wishes to remain anonymous) has donated quite a package to help raise those needed funds. We will list the package here and allow you to post a bid. Please see the last post with the highest bid and make your post for an amount higher than the last one. At 8pm Central on 14 June I will lock this thread. The highest bidder at that time will be the winner. The winner will be asked to make a donation of the bid amount on the GoFundMe page. When I verify that donation, I will ship the package to the winner.

This package is quite awesome. It includes a Gen2 .22cal MRod with the factory synthetic stock but is mounted in a custom Boyd's stock. Has mounted a Marmot Militia barrel and also comes with the OEM barrel prepped by Mac1. Has installed a MDS hammer and Huma regulator tuned by Travis. Comes with 4 magazines and a single shot tray. Also donated by Rocker1 is a custom LDC. I am tossing in a new BSA 4-16x44 AO with BTC glass. The package will ship boxed in a Flambeau hard case. If you were to purchase this package it would cost you well over $1400. So I will open the bidding at $850.

I think keep it open for a few more days since you originally said bidding is open until 6/14 but if no more bids in the next day do what you feel is appropriate. This is definitely a good cause and a bid of $1,100.00 seems more than fair

My personal recommendation - run the auction for the original amount of time.  Some people don't place bids until the last minute letting others run it up rather than run it up themselves.

If funds are needed immediately, then end it . If not, then let it run it’s course. It’s all good for the end result.

And not a shabby gift for doing so....besides the feeling of really helping someone out. David, please post you bid of $1100 to the GoFundMe page and send me a message with your full mailing address. As soon as the donation is made and I have your address, I'll ship this great package out to you.

I had a minute to look at the other donations.  It is amazing that so many from GTA have donated, most have probably never met the individual (neither me). 
Love being a part of GTA!!!!!!!!!!

David let me be the first second of many here to say thanks for being a stand up guy. I only wish that I had been in a position to out bid you. Jesse and Claudia both need our collective help. I have known Jesse through the GTA for several years and he is a friend that deserves our help.
