This may be a hard question but how long before new seals need to be replaced? I know you are going to say how much will I use it.
Let,s go with the average shooters use. I doubt anyone keeps track of how many pumps before rebuild, but you get the idea.

There are a lot of variables in play here. What type (brand) of pump, how high are you pumping, etc. I can only speak for myself, but I've had a Benji pump for about 2 1/2 years. I used it exclusively the first year with my Maximus and shot a lot year round, probably 6-8k pellets at least. The pump goes to 3500 and after I bought my Urban I would pump to about 3k. I know the higher PSI you pump, the more heat that builds up and the quicker you can wear out the O-rings. I would stop to give myself and the pump a rest after 50 pumps. I've since bought a tank but still use my pump at least 2-3 times a week to fill 4-5 times per session. I almost never need more than 40-50 pumps so I don't take a break. Also, I never pump higher than about 2500psi now, and then only rarely, usually 2k is as high as I go. I've not had to do anything to the pump other than put a thin layer of silicone grease on the shaft occasionally. Now, having said that, it will blow an O-ring the next time I use it ;D
