Hi guys, I recently reworked the bad barrel on my sickly Plinkster (SPA CR600W), and then gave it a low power tune for the kids to practice with in the back yard. It ended up being more accurate than I anticipated so I decided to take it out this morning to see how well it would fare against the chipmunks.
It performed admirably, taking 3 of them at 30+ yards with clean brain shots.

Here's a couple of them via the scope cam:

For anyone interested, here's a thread about the rifle I posted earlier this week in the Darkside gate:

Great video, sweet headshots too! You cannot kill anything with 6fpe....LOL
They were DRT
-
excellent demo for the 999 fps crowd. ;D. It doesn't take much when the shooter knows the trajectory and the shots are well placed.
-
Perfectly executed Jason and the proof is in the video.
You should be able to take squirrels too at 20-25 yards no problem with head shots. It takes just 4fpe on impact.

6fpe? No way. It was a typo. He left out the 1, so it was understanbly 1,570fps with that puny 8.6gr pellet ;)
BTW, I am in the 1,100+fps crowd :) I removed the o-ring (mod) from behind the tophat on my Condor today to clean and polish the valve stem a little, and it shot the JSB 33.95 @ 1,072 fps with the power wheel set only to 2! Needless to say I put the o-ring back to restore (and restrict) MV to the high 900's ;D

Sweet shootin'!
I've personally never doubted what a low FPE number could do after using my Crosman 2100 for so long.
What kind of camera mount is that?

Great shooting with that Plinkster Jason, I might even try out my CP2 on them chippers myself after seeing this. These guns have already proven their accuracy in my opinion, mine is in .22 but it too is very accurate and it's really not even broken in good yet. I haven't even mounted a scope on my Plinkster yet but I just might do that soon.

Nice ones Jason!

Hey thanks guys!
But nobody is going to chastise me for being so irresponsible to be using only 6fpe ;D
Harry, yeah it's spring squirrel season so I was hoping to see one but I came up empty.
Sagacious, it's just a shopmade mount for an iPhone. https://www.gatewaytoairguns.org/GTA/index.php?topic=99282 (https://www.gatewaytoairguns.org/GTA/index.php?topic=99282)

YUp shot placement , and that CO2 chilled pellet give them chippers severe brain freeze ;)

Ohhh I see. Well you did a good job of it, I was just thinking that I hadn't seen one online that looked as well built as that. Now I know why haha
