Title: Xbd Airmega Pcp Compressor Filter
Post by: Rat Sniper (AKA: PaulT58) on May 24, 2018, 11:01:33 PM
Received a new filter for my compressor today.  This one is from Xbd Airmega Pcp and I got it off eBay for $50.  This one has the desiccant and charcoal along with a cotton filter.  It's considerably smaller than the AliExpress Gold Filter I was using, so it fills with air much faster.  It has significantly reduced the run time of my compressor when filling my rifles.  Here are a couple pictures that show the different in size.

Looks good. Do you have a link? I can find the gold filters, and smaller, hose end type filters, not the one you have though.

It looks good, but, all I can find is that filter for almost 70 dollars plus 15 shipping, I wish I can find the one you have at your price.
Best.

I got mine off eBay, but it was an auction not the buy it now, so I ended up winning the auction for$35 plus the $15 shipping.  The listing on eBay says free shipping in the title but shows shipping is $15.  You may want to contact the seller for clarification.

Lethal Precision LLC also sells the same filter for $50 but I don’t know what they charge for shipping.  They are based in Virginia.

Lethal precision charge 7.50 for the shipping, good deal.

Yu want the filter vertical, with the input on the bottom, and output on top. Otherwise, water will simply run thru the lower level of the tube. Useless laying flat. ;)

Looks like Lethal Precision LLC has a better price and they are here in the States, so shipping would be quicker.

I repositioned the filter so it's not horizontal.  It's not completely vertical, but better than it was.

When I purchased the Gold Filter I asked the manufacturer if the orientation mattered and they said it didn't.  But, it makes sense that gravity would keep any moisture than does accumulate away from the output side if it's facing up hill!

Looks good, I ordered the Lethal Precision one.  I just dont think it comes with a hose, so need to look into a spare hose too.

They are pretty cheap on eBay and AliExpress. I like that they put the quick disconnects on both ends, that’s how I had the gold filter set up, makes maintenance super easy!

That is a mason jar full of desiccant that’s connected to the intake to the compressor, kind of a pre-dryer of sorts.  Since I live in Florida, I figure I can use all the help I can get!

Pretty interesting...but makes perfect sense.  I'm in Cali, so I think I'm fine the way it is.
