Title: New Tune
Post by: Nomadic Pirate on May 21, 2018, 09:06:09 PM
I put my .25 back in the Tac stock and change the tune from the low fill 30-34 FPE to a 48-50 FPE with the 28gr Benjamin pellets,

I prefer the .25 into the Tac stock rather then the .30 bacause it's lighter and much shorter.

Total lenght 32.5" and it packs at 25"
with the Bugbuster it's a very light gun.

I decided to try a tune I never did before.

I got a Storm .357 Hammerspring, cut a few coils and put it in there, filled the gun to 220 BAR and shot 2 mags down to 150 BAR

this was the string with the Benjamin Dome 28gr pellets

Very nice.  Amazing that it is only 32.5" long.  What is the barrel and shroud length?

Barrel is the standard Evanix 17" barrel and the shroud is 16.5"

That looks amazing!!  Manny, would you happen to have a thread talking about how you mounted that stock?  That's an ATI stock, right?  For a 10/22 or a SKS?

I love guns where the Shroud is the same lenght as the air tube, that's why I was asking you about the Winchester barrel ;)

Awesome Manny! Gonna have to get me a .357 spring now to play with! I have a few springs that work on this gun too, so easy to change a tune literally within 2-3 mins max! ;)

Yep, that's what I like Jimmy,

Then I have all the different springs in ZipLocks with a note of FPE and fill pressure so in 2 minutes I can have a different gun, .......not as handy as a power wheel but not to bad :)

That looks awesome Manny. I bet that makes a nice light weight compact hunting package. Only thing I would do different is camo the stock to something like this one I did. Can't wait to start tuning on mine.

That's a cool camo job indeed !!!!

I bang mine so much that I'm better off leaving it alone ( in the process of respraying my other Tactical stock for that reason :) :) )

It is indeed super light and compact, I can hold it by the grip and walk with my arm limp and it clears the ground by a bunch and I'm only 5'6"  :)

Manny, is that a longer than usual airtube, or a shorter shroud? And if Shroud, what did you order.

Sure would bring the DonnyFl in a little closer! ;)

I sent it to Neil to shorten and re-thread, I really like guns that have the shroud level with the AirTube,.......There's 1.25" left now between the end of the barrel and the end of the shroud, nice little CRACK this gun has in this configuration :)

It wasn't Will Piatt that cut the shroud,..... was Neil Clague.

I haven't bought a depinger in a long time from Will, I can't remember how much they cost, sorry

I inquired about with Will and from his email he said $45 shipped for the de-pinger, its machined derlin with o-ring seal.
