Title: 392 Valuve port size?
Post by: Wolfer on May 18, 2018, 10:13:07 PM
Picked up another 392today, great deal from a friend, never shot. Doing some basic value work have opened up transfer port / barrel ports to 3/16 in the past what do you think of this size. Not trying to get to crazy with mods. Polishing hammer etc. Thanks for any input.    Mike

Sorry, never had a 392.... I would suggest asking in the Crosman-Benjamin section of the Airgun Gate.... If this is still .22 cal, I would think that 3/16" would be too large for the barrel port, you may damage the pellets on loading.... About 80% of the caliber is the typical maximum, which would be 11/64".... If you need more port area, then I would use a oblong barrel port, where the width does not exceed 0.172"....
