Does anyone know how many FPE the .177 Fortitude will generate? PA lists FPE for a lot of the rifles they sell, but this info is lacking for the Fortitude.

They say 950 fps, so using an fpe calculator, I'm assuming 14 to 16 fpe.

It has not been released yet, and none are in reviewers hands, so will need to wait to be sure. The crosman fps spec is probably optimistic, given their history. If it is based on crosman's 7.4g pellet, then SpeedyBB is correct. It is listed as non-adjustable.

Bottom end of the rifle is Discovery/Maximus based. Since they regulated it, expect a little less than 20 ft lbs. I got to see and handle one but not shoot it at the NRA convention.

It looks like the Fortitude will be "plenum challenged". While I hope that you are correct, my concern is it will be less than what was stated above. Also, if it was that powerful out of the box, the advertised shot count would be considerably lower. ;)

I just noticed that on the crosman site, under technical specs, they have listed the FPE. That is unusual for crosman. Spec states 16FPE for 177 and 23FPE for 22 cal. I still feel that is on the optimistic side, but it is what they have provided.

I would be all over one if I knew I could yank the reg... and turn it into a Mini Rod.. ;)
