Title: Qb78d breech seal
Post by: HASHTAG on May 17, 2018, 05:38:51 PM
I keep trying things to make my breech seal work correctly. I am losing alot of co2 from faulty applications that I keep trying...

Can any one point me to a legit breech seal ring or a self made one from materials locally.

You mean the transfer port seal?  If you do I use a crosman 2240 transfer port seal in my Qb-78 and it fits, seals and works perfectly.

Agreed on the Crosman part.  Or you can get some poly tubing commonly used for built in ice makers in a refrigerator.  It’s 0.25” OD and 0.170” ID.  Cut a piece 0.100” long.

Yea the ice tube maker is last resort if the cross man version doesn't work out. Thanks guys.

Do you use the metal insert also. Or just the gasket part

Just the gasket.  It is essentially a square cross section O-ring.
