Title: Picked up a 1322 and carbine stock
Post by: bmoney on May 11, 2018, 01:35:47 PM
I am hoping this will be a nice open sights plinker for the backyard and throwing in a backpack.  The reviews seem great although I did read more than a couple about warped front sites that had windage almost unobtainable, hopefully mine works out.  Even with 25% off, Crosmans 19 dollar shipping seemed a little crazy.  I got the 1322 from Amazon prime for 49.99 with free one day shipping and got the stock off ebay for 25 bucks.

I couldn’t hit squat with the stock sights...either as pistol or carbine....so I put steel breeches and either scoped or peeped.....good luck

These are pretty accurate, my man, you should invest in a scope.  With the carbine stock, you'll be steadier and you can reach out and hit birds and the like at 25 to 30 yards.  I have a custom 1322 scoped and I can drop birds at that distance.

Thanks for replies.  I have a sheridan 2260MB with 18" mellonair barrel that drives nails for more precision work.  For now I think I will just see how the iron sights do.  If I can't hit jack with them then I will look into the steel breech.  If it comes to that I will be a little bummed I didn't just do a 1300kt from the custom shop.

The 1322 will have a rear sight blade that you can flip over to have a Peep. Actually pretty useful with a shoulder stock.

I read about that, pretty cool stuff right there.

Brian..if the open or peep sights don't workout for you...then you can also do what I did to my 1377 pistols that are pictured below.

Best Wishes  -  Tom

I think this is such a good all around platform.  I wish Crossman would use this for the basis of a neat rifle.  I couldn’t hit with those sight either I put a pistol scope and a longer barrel with a TKO on mine.
