Had this bit of data within a JSA post from a week or so ago where I was doing some testing with the SS valve in the .22 cal WarP.
Crosman dome 14.3 grain = 1262 fps for 50.5 ft lbs :o :o :o
I mean REALLY ??? 1262 fps & 50+ foot lbs energy from a 14.3 crosman dome ... yea really being equally fast to most .22 long rifle rim fire cartridges tho lighter and therefor less energy but Wow never the less !
EQUAL CRACK too ! .... Sound Barrier breaker absolutely.
Just for giggles tho having no practical application :P

naa , plenty of headroom skirts dont come apart till around 1600-1800 fps.

I'm not seeing a problem here, but then again, I'm a proud as punch power junkie ;D Doing things for grins is just as good a reason as any other.
Those CPD pellets really are kinda light. What length barrel is on that WARP? I'm betting you can get them going even faster with a 24" barrel.

It was a full length LW 23 1/2" Power setting was shy of max due to the SSG / spring combo I was using at the time would not allow a full stroke hammer strike & the SS valve still had the VERY small .026" jet in it. Surely there was more there ... but why ???
Set up & primary testing at the time was actually throwing 30 grain Prometheus Pile drivers at 982 fps for 64 ft lbs energy. Which due to SSG/Spring combo was shy of the valves potential as well.
Around these parts have NOTHING to shoot at requiring such numbers ... why waste the air and pay for heavy lead ???

Is that SS valve the balanced valve?
I've been kicking around the idea of some upgrades to my 25 synrod. I would like a higher shot count but I think 40 fpe is enough.

It is unlikely there was more available, as with the gun set up for 982 fps with 30 gr. pellets, the valve would still be wide open when the 14.3 gr. pellets left the muzzle.... At over 1200 fps, they spend much less time in the barrel than the 30 gr. pellets would.... I have had well over 1200 fps with 25 gr. JSB Kings in .25 cal with a 25" barrel, and YES they are really loud, especially indoors !!!

Just so happens I spent the last Hour installing the 20" green mountain .25 cal barrel onto the WarP ... so for giggles having the data above, Same heavy hammer and stroke limited SSG/Spring combo.
Re-ran some .25 cal shots over the chrony for some more giggles.
* yes this is a SS balanced valve and with the .25 barrel in place we're running .250 transfer all the way to barrels funneled @ .220" port. 8) so here we go ...
JSB 25.4 = 1095 fps for 67.61 ft lbs
JSB 33.95 = 972 fps for 71.21 ft lbs
Eungin 42 = 872 fps for 72.59 ft lbs
Shockingly quiet with the heavier pellets ... who-da-thunk :o

All you need to do with that is feed it 1250 PSI HPA and you'll get around 850 FPS or more.
I doubt ANYONE will keep coming with .22's shooting out at the feed rate and power!
Not that I know anything about the SMG .22's or how they can shoot through your ceiling!

Oh man hahahaha I have an AR among other things, but there's just something... dare I say magical about the prospect of defending ones property with 12 pellets per second. I was thinking that breaking the sound barrier would be just slightly more discouraging to would be invaders, but if your roof- I mean hypothetically of course since gun accidents never happen to the best of us ;) *cough my window sill cough* - if your roof is any indicator as to what the .22 SMG is capable of, it's already G2G! Home invaders aren't really known for being able to afford armored plates anyway

You almost broke the 24 hour mark!!! Or how long it would take the pellet at sustained speed to circumnavigate the Earth. Your just shy at 28.939 hours. LOL You just need to crank it up to 1522fps and you will have it wiped at 23.99 hours.

I have had the Eungin up to 77 ft lbs with the GM port at .220 so you still have a little more headroom. Others have had them even higher I believe though accuracy limited to short range. Fun to play however ;)

doesnt count because unholy methods had to be used, but a crossman premier hp has been used to set off tannerite.
i think cause it was so light, rotation so fast the magnus effect was obviously affecting accuracy.

Yes I can confirm too that potential of SS valve is huge. We just need to solve low speed of first shoot disadvantage .

Am waiting on Mr. T in sending me his newest 90 Duro o-rings for the poppet to tube replacement. T tells me the reduced "sticksion" will allow less o-ring set and delay/drag of first cycles after sitting a spell.

It’s a significant aid in stiction especially for low power tunes. If you order a valve oring kit they are what you will get.
