I can get both of these to Walmart with site-to-store shipping. This is the best deal for me economically, despite the bulk deals on ePlA. Problem is, both aren't in the weight range I like (7.5-8) but instead the Super H-point is 6.9 grains and the H&N Hunter is 10.3
Just wondering how well a Vantage NP would like such a light-weight pellet with the RWS? I want to try both, but I know it will digest 10.5 grain Crosman Ultra-Mags smoothly so I'm not really questioning these as much, but don't know if I should bother with trying both if the 6.9 are going to be too light for it.
It shoots 7.4 grain Crosman Pointed Field Hunting pretty well, so .5 a grain doesn't seem like that much less mass, but I've heard people suggesting not even to use 8 grain pellets in these guns.

I have a Vantage spring rifle. I have shot the Crosman Premier Hollow Points in them, & were happy with the results.

By now I'm sure you know the gun picks the pellets, not the shooter. I settled an Crosman Premier Hollow Points for my Nitro Venom - another B19 family member. I have yet to find anything that likes the Crosman Premier Ultra Magnums.
My current guns all prefer pellets in the 8.3 - 8.5 grain range.

I have a 117 Cal. NP Vantage. My gun shoots the Crosman 7.9 Gr Premier Hollow Points and 7.9 Premier Light Domes well. It will also shoot the 10.3 Gr. Piranhas and Ultra Magnums but the 7.9 pellets group somewhat better. Anything less than 7.9 GR tends to go supersonic in my gun. The 7.4 Pointed pellets will always shoot supersonic. The H&N 8.5 Gr. Sniper Medium pellets shoot well too. The H&N Snipers and the Crosman 7.9 Gr Hollow points/Domes will group 1 inch or less at 30 yards. The Sniper Mediums shoot a little better than the Crosman Pellets.

CPHP aren't really desirable to me for this role because they don't actually expand at all at these energy levels. I was looking at some Predator Polymags, but can't get those at WalMart, so I wanted to try to the hollow-point varieties that I DO know will actually expand, and that I can find there at Wally World. It's pretty much down to the RWS Super H-Point, H&N Hunters and Crowmags.
Just wondering if 6.9 grain is too light to even bother with the Vantage with a nitro piston?
Edit:
I guess there's also some H&N "Excite" HPs but they're also only 7.1 grain.

K.J.B. You could try Gamo Red Fire Pellets too. Most Walmart stores around my area carry them. They are 7.8 Gr. in 177 Cal. and expand real well. They shoot OK in my guns out to 30 yards. Best Wishes - Tom
