I find it odd that both my '91 S392P's Action's are different in length. One is 1/2" longer than the other & one is the same size as the '96PA. Could it be I have the wrong date/dates on the P's?
Serial #'s;
Bottom; I002112
Middle; N021720
Top: 896702674

My '93 392P is just a hair under 4 inches, like your shorter ones. Serial Number V118391.

We're making headway Randy. We know the "P" is '91 thru '93. I am wondering when the transition to the
longer shorter action took place. Was it sometime in '91, 2 or 3? Trying to use the Crosman sites to date these serial numbers doesn't do much good. These serial numbers do not correspond to exact dates. Hopefully Billy will chime in.
Thanks!

I see you put the plastic hand-guards on yours. I did the same with mine. I put friction tape on the barrel underneath the hand-guards on my 392P and Sheridans and it really did the trick keeping those hand-guards from sliding around when pumping.

Great tip with respect to friction tape. That's going front & center on my todo list. Those things just don't sit still. :)
