Was on this early but at this price it’s going to be there for a while, I assume. It’s the “Rarer” 107 in .177 which according to the blue book is worth 2X a 108. He’s pricing it at about mint which it isn’t for sure, still in nice condition for its age. But it’s the FPS info that kind of turned me off as well. With four pumps I’m getting 500 fps in 22 and he say this .177 is at 475? And this has just been professionally resealed? Something going on? To me this massive gun is meant to be in .22?
But nothing is better looking than these rifles, when I saw it come up on a search, that full photo of the rifle just brought a smile to my face.

He went to EBay looks like he will get at least $950, seems like a lot to me?

Goes to show if you’re out to make $ sell on the Bay. I’ve never seen so many nice Blue Streaks come out of the wood work & selling for big money.

I bet "m***" is doing some heavy breathing, It jumped his bid from $325 up to $950 in less than 12 hours yesterday!

That's amazing, I'm going to keep an eye out for collectables like these at the next airgun show. The one in Kalamazoo always has a fantastic assortment of vintage guns for sale.

I went to three Airgun shows last year including Kalamazoo and Findlay this year and have never seen one for sale, and I was looking. This being a .177 makes it even more rare, however in my forum survey of 24 T&C’S this year 38% were .177s? My Bluebook has the .177 in 95% at $1000 and the .22 at $500. This one isn’t even close to 95%. But as a collector I’m sure he is saying when will I see another one? Interesting part of Crosman lore is no one knows how many were made.

Ended at $950

Wow, someone is either single or soon to be.

I started my collecting by never telling my wife what I paid.

I don’t think the price would have climbed that high if the buyer played his cards right. He jacked up the price from the start. If I want something bad enough I won’t bid until the last 15-20 seconds. Never reveal your hand.

It had a reserve which I’m sure was $950, he just ran it up till he hit it. I would have let it sit and not hit the reserve and hopefully it would be lowered the next time he put it up. You got to be willing to walk away. This guy obviously really wanted it, they are a hard find.

The way the "new" Ebay works is you enter your "Max bid" it will automatically take you only to the dollar amount it would take to win the item, either by beating the current highes bidder max or the reserve price.
In other words, the winner could have put in a ""Max Bid" of $1200 if he was willing to pay that much for it... but it only took $950 to win. So that is what he pays.
It is not like a real auction where you can throw out a sky high bid to scare others off.

I actually like gunbroker more 15 minutes to think about it, if you really want it no guessing. Downside I seem to always make the other guy pay more!

DARN! I forgot this was on Gun Broker, not ebay. GunBroker does the "Auto Bid" as well.
. You enter the maximum amount you are willing to pay for the item in the bid amount field when placing a bid.
. AutoBid then bids on your behalf, and always bids the least it can to win the auction. Because AutoBid bids the least it can to win, your posted bid can be lower than your entered bid.
. If you are outbid, AutoBid incrementally raises your bid, but it never bids more than your Maximum Bid.
Sorry for the confusion.
The one thing I found on Gun Broker that was different was the "Going.. Going.. Gone" rule.
That IS more like a real auction where if somone continues to bid the auction will keep going
. If there is bidding activity on the auction within 15 minutes of the scheduled close, the auction is automatically extended until there have been no bids placed within 15 minutes.
. After 15 minutes with no bidding activity, the auction closes.

Don't want to give my high card away but like I said; I wait for a few seconds for the bidding to close (bay) & I enter my final bid. Max bid or otherwise. It's fun to watch the numbers flash & thoughts of the other guys fingers stumbling all over the key board to try & max me with a few seconds left. Called blind sidding. The guy doesn't know I exist til the final seconds. So he isn't prepaired. ;D

Somehow when I do this I get double blindsided, and lose

Ditto...
Someone always seems to have a faster modem than I do... even to the last few seconds. Maybe it is automatic and they had a max bid higher than my snipe attempt.
So...I think with the new system, the days of "snipe-ing" are over.
I use it to my financial advantage. I have plenty of time to think what I am willing to pay and enter that as my Max Bid. If someone wants it more it is gone.... I used to get all caught up in the bidding war at the end and pay more than I wish I had.
This way gives me some self restraint!

Words that can keep you out of trouble is “there is always another one”! Had my best luck lately with buy it nows. Sometimes people actually list the buy it now for what’s its worth or just slightly over. And don’t underestimate luck!
