March 12th I bought a third variant 160 with die cast trigger housing and Model S331 peep sight. The seller shipped it with USPS "standard" shipping and it went from Florida to L.A. Ca. then back to Atlanta Ga. it left Atlanta on March 28th and hasn't been scanned since. USPS need to raise their "standard"
I am bummed to not have received it, it was a real good deal I think at the $125 I paid including shipping. I now think someone else got it for free though. :-[ :'( :'( At least I did get a full refund though. :D

I’m crying for you that was a great deal and great looking gun. Maybe you’ll met again.
-
Just to make things clear I have LOTS of HOPE, just none for getting that 160.
-
Nope they didn't deliver it to me, ... yet , but I will let you know if they do OK ?
Real Bummer man !
-
That's definitely a real bummer, I sure hope whoever ended up with it will appreciate and take care of it.
-
That stinks! It hurts. In defense of the US postal service.......I have had good luck with usps for near 10 years both shipping and receiving. Bad experiences are few and most of them were the seller's/packer's fault or having to do with extraordinary weather. Of course that don't make you feel any better now. I once shipped something and it did not arrive. I issued a full refund. About 7 months later it arrived! The customer was nice enough to contact me and pay again.
BTW I'm not a post master.

That is a bummer.. the 160 is a great gun.
Hopefully it will turn up. The weather has played poorly with all forms of shipping.
-
The weather from Florida to Georgia? lol
-
I see quite a few at the airgun show but they're always beat up pretty bad. Maybe I'll see that gun this year you never know what happens to a lot of that stuff the shippers lose.

I agree except! It made it from FL. to Los Angeles CA where it was only about 90-95 miles from it's rightful destination, I guess they had to send it all the way back to GA. where it disappeared because of "bad weather" in So. CA "that never took place"! We haven't really had any bad weather for too long, WE NEED RAIN! Either my address label or the senders return address label could have gotten ripped off but probably not both, The USPS thinks that the package just got ripped off.

I have had mostly good experience with USPS also, This package is too big to loose in a crack or fall into a cranny somewhere, logic tells me it was stolen by an employee or by carelessness of the USPS a non-employee was able to, maybe a truck crashed and burned or scattered mail that got stolen (USPS should know that a crash happened though)
I printed out and kept all the sellers contact info and will gladly and definitely pay for it if it ever shows up anytime in the future!

Nope, he lives in CA.
I made a trade with a guy on the west coast when I got my SynRod. I got mine with incredible speed. His was mia for at least 2 weeks. No tracking.. no nothing. I didn't know him, he didn't know me. He was a trooper... I was a mess. He actually told me to stop calling him everyday and quit worrying about it. I called the next day... lol
I was ready to send the gun back when the package showed up.

If the USPS didn't already say it will probably never be found I would have more hope that it might! :) If it does show up I will be ecstatic!
-
I'm betting it will.
-
Ditto, I have had packages drop off the radar and then mysteriously "teleport" to my door step. Days after I had started to give up hope.
Matter of fact.. I think one of them was an Air Gun I bought from Bill.
Hey.... It might have even been a 160 with S331 peep sight!! :o
-
I totally forgot about that fiasco.
I know for a fact that USPS won't even open an investigation until the item is 7 days past due delivery. Been there, done that.
-
One was a regulator that was so late it showed up weeks after I had gotten the refund from the seller on Amazon.
Amazon knew it was deviled because the charges went back on my account before I could contact them the next day.
-
Dan... at the end of the day, you're gonna want the 160. I would pursue it aggressively.

Just to be clear the USPS says it left Atlanta GA on March 26th and has never arrived anywhere else.

The fact that you got a full refund makes it somewhat easier to swallow. Maybe the seller will learn a lesson about upgrading and insuring items shipped. I use USPS a lot with pretty good success other than a couple close calls that worked out. I adjust insurance and shipping method based on distance to travel and value.

I agree! 100%

I bought a like new Benjamin NP2 once, and it arrived late, in a box that had been RUN OVER - TWICE!!!
The box was ripped in two places, the stock was scratched in three places, the barrel, and shroud, were BENT (BENT 30 degree) in two places!!!! The scope was separately packaged and that made it in alright.
Seller was distraught because he had sent me pictures and the rifle was like NEW. He refunded me, but to be fair, I paid him for the scope. I hope he collected from the insurance!
I had also bought a holster for a Sig once that NEVER made it in .....
I do use USPS a lot - both ways - and other than those two incidents, have not had any issues.
Cheers

Yup. I've had pretty good luck but I always insure anything over $100. Maybe that helps me to make my own luck.

I am with Bill... I bet it still shows up "eventually".
Now condition might be another story as others have said.
Who knows, maybe it is stuck in the guts of a conveyor belt in an airport somewhere. :o ::) :P

I just looked at my USPS informed delivery and it looks like today they have scanned it as arriving in Atlanta GA again. :o We will see what happens now, this may not be over yet! I am concerned about condition too but maybe it has just been sitting in a truck in the back lot for the last 14-16 days and not traveling all over getting banged and crushed along the way? ;D

I see a happy ending in your future.
-
Got my fingers crossed. Good news that it's still in the pipeline.

This was today, now I know why "Unable to deliver item, problem with address
Apr 12, 2018 at 03:52 PM"
I could have made it though the whole day without thinking about it being Friday the 13th, Thanks a lot! LOL
-
Friday the 13 must not be all bad. Just a problem with the address? I see light at the end of this tunnel. :)

The seller/sender is on it. It sounds to me that my address may have been ripped off of it??? IDK if the USPS will send it back to him or affix a new label at his direction??? I may still get it, or he may just sell it again if I wore him out with one email every day or so. I tried not to trouble him too much but he may have perceived me as having been too helpful although I have received not hint that he feels that way, he was probably just pained by the whole process. He said he will keep me posted so now I watch and wwwwaaaaiiiiittttt! ;)
