about a mth ago i designed some replacement baffles for a hatsun QE bullboss, they have been in use for over 1000 rounds fired and holding up quite well.
with the advance of 3d printers and better quality filaments, its now possible to produce printed parts that can withstand pcp muzzle blast.
its my understanding that all hatsun QE guns use the same baffles, with no replacements on the market?
the member thats testing them doesnt have a decibal meter, but states they atleast match stock baffles in sound and accuracy.
before i go off n plan to print a batch.....is there any intrest in the baffles as a selling item?
they are a pain to clean up after print due to all the preferated holes, and didnt want to print for nothing,i have no pcps in my inventory.
but i have a 3d printer,material,time.....and the design i created.
for certin they fit the bullboss and the at44 22 and 25 caliber
this isnt a sale ad,just simply asking if theres intrest,if there is i will build them made to order.

I can attest they sound quieter to me but my factory baffles were destroyed due to a bent barrel and they got clipped so I had 1shot design these with 4 baffle seperators.
I still shoot starlings at 100 plus yards. No accuracy lost from stock.
These use the factory felt wraps and are direct replacements.
Fit my .25 caliber perfect and will work for .22 or .177.
His pass through hole is smaller than the factory Hatsans were.
To my ear they sound quiter.
-
The pass thru's in my .25 nova were .41 cal. Worst sound suppression I have ever heard form an ldc.
GRRRR!!!
-
my pass thru is 7mm,or 0.275 ths.....not sure what that translates to in caliber specs.(assuming 27 caliber)
i can make it any spec needed.my design software uses mm
i would assume .41 is 0.410 ths or 10.3mm
only because .50 of an inch is 1/2 inch....50 cal

I ordered a decbil meter.
I have shot alot and with these 3d baffles my ping is louder signaling the discharge is much quieter.
I added a bottle brush depinger and I can't imagine it being quieter but we are designing more to bring the db lower.
Accuracy point of impact change slightly switching from stock ones.
I still shoot hole in hole at 30 yards 5/16"-1/2" at 50 yards.
Db meter will arrive on 25th.
Factory baffles can not compete at this point.
There is another member testing these and he reports same as I am.
Excellent Job.

Anyone using them in a BT65 .177?
Reason I ask is that I have destroyed 2 screw on LDC's with my BT65 .177
I'm converting it to a QE system now.
-
i only have 2 sets out for testing,so i would say no one has tested in the 65.
-
My other BT65 is .357 and it's a QE version.
-
ill have to do some research, but im pretty sure the baffels are the same od and length.
-
Provide measurements and one_shot can design what you need.
-
I can check the baffles in the .357 and the other Hatsans but I'd bet they are all the same.
-
im betting they are the same aswell.
-
I recived my db meter today.
.25 caliber Bullboss
2700 psi 30 grain cudas with factory baffles 5 shots
Shot 1 was 81.3db at 12" from muzzle
Shot 5 was 79.8 db.I did add a teflon spacer to close the pass through hole back to factory on the one clipped baffle.
Recharged gun
one_shot baffles at 2700 psi 30 grain cudas
Shot 1 was 78.2
Shot 5 was 75.8
Just for fun at 2200psi one_shots were 72db on shot number 18
Cocking the gun yeilded a max db of 61.2db
So the one_shots are capable of creating a lower decible discharge then the factory.
-
Tried some more baffle designs and at 2700 psi 28 grain cuda hunter extremes we average 77-78db with the one_shot 3d baffles.
Factory set up 80-81db same pressures and ammo.Same distance from muzzle.
I need to research more.
Now that discharge is indeed quieter there is alot more air being directed into the shroud.I now have a great deal of lead dust in shroud tube and coming out of the vent hole.
Next step is to maybe open ports on shroud retaining nut to allow a lil more air flow.Faster flow.
I think we acomplished all that can be using the small diameter q.e. tube.
