Is the 392 one that needs the bolt cocked before pumping ?

I tried that it’s like the air is leaking around the valve or something ? When I pump if I put my finger over the barrel the back pressure leaks by the trigger or that’s what it sounds like ?

Nope sounds like something isn't sealing right or sticking , maybe try a flush ?

Flush? Not familiar with that term I tried the old seals back on the valve those were fine not nicks or anything and it still leaks I did a light film of clear tar on the valve and orings still doesn’t seal is my tube ovel maybe?

Put rubbing alcohol in the pump area and pump it through the gun it will help free up any contaminates, that could cause a valve to stick, if that doesn't help another tear down is in order.

Yes I bought a kit to reseal it .  I got it to pump last night by pumping short rapid strokes until I felt pressure and didn’t hear air leaking through now it seems to work so I put a few pumps in and let it sit over night

Was there one spring in the valve or two?
If two then the normal looking spring goes in the front of the valve against the check valve. Then a washer.. then the conical spring with the small end facing the rear of the valve against the poppet.
