I love this rig, and this Winchester/Daisy scope makes a world of difference.
I get 18-19 fpe with 14.3 gr pellets. Just sharing.

Nice Gun Jesse ! I bought a 177 Cal Vantage when they first started selling them several years ago. It is still shooting Strong & Hard with many thousands of pellets thru it. You have a Nice gun and a Real winner ! Best Wishes - Tom

Thanks Tom.
It has been a lot of fun getting back into air rifles these last couple years, and this is definitely one of my favorites. Very smooth cocking cycle and just a great shooter. Also doesn’t hurt that I paid $115.00 for the rifle and scope combined (I’m a sale hound) !! I’ll post a couple groups when I get a minute. All I’ve ever shot with it are Crosman premiers, I wonder how it would handle some different pellets, maybe some heavies.

Does this get that much energy out of the same gas ram and tube size as the .177 Vantage NP guns?
I may want to order a .22 barrel for mine.

I don’t know whether the powerplant and linkages are identical or not.
There must be someone on here who knows.

Is yours a nitro piston or a springer? I just looked up the exploded schematic views on Crosman's page and it looks possible :D I just didn't realize they were putting out so much more energy in .22.
That's awesome, must be a sweet shooter. I really like my .177 Remington variant, I got it out of a pawnshop so had to fix it up a bit, and have done some customizing. It was an easy gun to learn on, lots of information, I followed Gene's guide in the GTA Library and also got a lot of help from members here.
What kind of scope did you get with it?
I think from what I've heard, some people recommend heavier pellets for the nitro piston versions because they're a pretty powerful ram. I don't think trying some heavier ones will hurt it at all, though if it's a springer it could lead to early metal fatigue--but you're still talking thousands of shots before you'll have an issue.
If you haven't heard about the Straight Shooter's pellet sampler that's a good place to start the hunt for the right pellet.

Is it accurate? I have the .177 version and it's very very accurate. The 1st Crosman I didn't have to apart. The reason I ask is because if it's accurate, I'd like to get one in .22.

Dead-nuts accurate with the Winchester 2-7 AO scope, $35 on sale at Midway. Straight Shooter’s pellet samplers look great-although so far this thing isn’t picky.

Curious to see! I haven't got great accuracy out of my .177 model, but I don't know that it's the rifle's fault.

All the Crosman B-19 variants are wonderful rifles. I love my storm XT. After years of shooting and thousands of pellets, the spring is finally giving out. Maybe I'll order an NP for it??

When the spring gives out you'll know. I use to be able to cock mine with my pinky.
