I ordered the parts at 2AM last Saturday and they were at my door this morning at 9AM. I got me 2 spare mags (wanted these for a long time), 2 connectors which are where the transfer port is incorporated(ah yes mod time), a regulator (I'm going to put some better springs in it and orings) and a couple spare gauges because a lot of SPA guns use these gauges. It was $103 shipped, yes the shipping isn't cheap, I think the next time I order parts from SPA I'll load up on lego parts (probably mostly PR900W parts for some needed tinkering 8) I requested the China post but they won't do it anymore, only Fedex from what Julie told me.

China post makes a big difference, too bad if it's no longer an option...
-
Mark I probably should have ordered more parts this time around, maybe shipping would have been the same for more parts.
-
I just received my parts from SPA and received them faster then most places ship in the USA. After viewing a Spanish and a Russian YouTube video I was finally able to fix my Varmint. I replaced the bolt and bolt handle. It's amazing how easy these rifles are to work on. So nice having Julie available as a source for parts and no longer having to try and deal with Mrodair.

Back on the China Post shipping, I wonder if they would do China Post just one day a week or even one day a month, I can wait on my parts. That would save them a bunch of trips and make the customers happy at the same time. Unless they have to fill out the paperwork at China Post. Regards, Tom
-
Tom Julie probably would have said something in the emails I had with her, what I'm also wondering though is how many parts could I get shipped for the $42 that I had to pay for shipping these parts.
-
Julie did mention that we could all get together and order parts for the same shipping cost but I'm not going to bother with that. The $42 shipping is lightning fast but the parts I ordered were either free or at a nominal cost. Heck I didn't expect to have my Varmint up and running this fast. I got a stock Diana Stormrider with a glued on Muzzle break that will go back into the closet.

I could then probably order a whole gun in parts minus the barrel and stock for the $42 shipping then.
-
We should all order together and then send someone to China to pick them up ;)
-
$42.00 to ship whats in the photo? That's Insane, That right there is one reason I won't {willingly} buy Chinese They won't ship China Post any Longer because when that Boat arrives in the US harbor Now! It is Now subject to tariffs on tens of billions of dollars on the Chinese goods imported. What will be interesting is what will happen to SPA or Any Chinese air-gun company for that matter, Once stock in US warehouses are, Depleted. Will they even Exist anymore? And If so at what Cost?? Cheaper Quality Or Higher Prices, My bet is Cheaper Quality Not Good!! with PCP HPA!
-
Crosman and Daisy both are big buyers of Chinese parts with Daisy being the big one these days with SPA especially. I seen the new trade deals and it's going to drive the price up or start building in house here in the U.S. I worked in a factory for years, we didn't use anything but steel made here in the U.S. When the old man sold to Tower Automotive (a few years after I got out of there) they started using Chinese steel because our steel mills had dwindled down to almost nothing. Lot of changes in the U.S. in the past year.

I am about to order for PR900W and PP700SA, both .22. What are the parts I should order? Right now I am thinking o-rings, gauge, breech, springs and screws for both, bolt and firing pin, magazines, single slot tray for PR900W, and constant valve for PP700SA.
Almost felt I should order every part as a backup.
-
Greg you can order everything except the barrel and stock. Eventually I'll be ordering a bunch for the PR900W
-
my last china post order from spa went missing for 70 days,.. SO , theyre just not reliable enough
-
I wonder why not barrel and stock? Are they too big for the air, or are they prohibited by law?
Would be cool if I can order all parts for a P15.
-
You need an FFL license to order barrels direct from China, they won't ship stocks because they don't want to chance breaking them I guess. Rob my order came Fedex, they won't ship Chinapost anymore for parts probably cause people complained about how long it took. Fedex only takes about a week from China, they're very fast but expensive.

There are plenty FFLs but I assume they will also need to have import license. I would not mind going through an FFL to get everything if that would make them shipping all the parts.

Greg have you emailed chinaairifles yet? When ordering the complete guns you have to order a hundred. When you put those parts together there's some smithing to it too. AustinB built three of the SPA M16A's from parts. He expains how it was putting them together. https://www.gatewaytoairguns.org/GTA/index.php?topic=135045.0 (https://www.gatewaytoairguns.org/GTA/index.php?topic=135045.0)

Thanks Wayne.
The assemble process seems harder than I thought because parts were not made perfect to fit.
LW barrel idea is interesting, I need to check to see if I can get a LW barrel for the PR900W.
-
I just sent and email off to Julie to get PDF files on all the guns so we can break down the individual parts and price them, Then what we will do is once a week send all the orders in and get the parts needed in one shipment thus reducing cost and time getting a wire transfer at the bank and time emailing back and forth.
-
Man does THAT sound good! (http://www.chevelles.com/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)

I'm going to order the PR900W parts for everything I need to turn my CP2 into a pcp on my next order. I'm sure when you order the LW barrels they're blanks and you have to machine them yourself. That's what Austin had to do when he assembled those M16A's.

Thats so nice that you can get the PDF's like that, I think that's how people got them was requesting them from Julie . . . SPA is really a great place to deal with. By the looks of it they're closely affiliated with Artemis or maybe that is their brand ???

Maybe you can get barrels and stocks etc.. or get after market barrels machined.

Wayne, I think they will not ship the air tank.
-
I order parts for my mrodair plinkster from SPA and FEDEX was the only option. It was $33 shipping for orings, 3 mags and a breech. They shipped it Wednesday and it was here Thursday. I would measure the orings and source them in the correct material from the USA.
-
How are the quality of SPA of rings compared to the us ones such as theoringstore?
-
O-rings from SPA are a crapshoot. I've gotten Buna-N, silicone, and some other non identifiable material before. Julie had contacted me to forward thier information to Theoringstore a while back. Maybe they are using them as a supplier now.
Wayne, if you need help machining a blank feel free to shoot me a pm.

Austin that was Greg that was inquiring about getting blanks machined, I've already got access through my brother to about any machine you can imagine, he has the keys to a mold shop a friend of ours owns, he actually helped Paul(mold shop owner) put together and modify a lot of the old machinery (mills, lathes etc.) because Paul wasn't capable of a lot of it. My brother is retired from the mold business and there ain't much he can't do on about any machine. Knowing him he'll probably make me do it myself cause I do have experience on mills, lathes etc.

We will be able to order barrels and stocks.

That is awesome news. Put me down for two M16A stocks whenever you get started ordering.

Travis have you ever shot the M16? Wait til you've shot one that's broke in you won't believe it, right now the way I've got mine setup I proved to myself that I can hit good with it at a hundred yards, even with the JSB18.13's. SPA makes really great barrels.

I totally agree with you, Wayne. So good that I'd seriously consider using them for barrel swaps if they were readily available.
I'm still hoping Travis and company will consider marketing a carbine barrel/barrel band/LDC "kit" (don't really like that term) to fit the CP1.
-
Mark I've got the CP1 too, I really like the first ones that had the stippling on the grip, when I ordered this one the picture on Mrodair showed it as the older style grip with the bolt on the right hand side. It's still a fun plinker but being a lefty I like the bolt on the right side.

Nice strings. Mine (smooth grip, too) looked just like yours except .177. I went ahead and put the CP2 carbine stock on it and it's a lot of fun! Modified a Daisy 953 rear sight to fit on the little rail in front of the loading port- had to get the rear sight further forward than the pistol sights to use w/the shoulder stock. The CP2 barrel band w/the rear sight would be better, though.

Hi Wayne, that is great to hear - or you have magic hands to make every SPA work so well.
I am thinking P15 but M16 sounds great too. I hope P15 will be as accurate.
