Picked up a Hatsan Edge .22 at local sporting goods store on Clearance for $75 and thought why not?
Does anyone have one of these and any thoughts?
-
I have one in .25. Quite a bit of recoil but accurate and fun to shoot. Trigger pull is fairly heavy.

I have 4 Hatsan Rifles. All shoot very well. I like the Edge Triggers better than the Quatro Triggers on the 85 Snipers Any Questions Sir ?
#1: A Black Hatsan Vortex Edge 25 Cal.
#2: A Black Hatsan Vortex Striker 177 Cal. in an Edge Stock
#3: A Camo Hatsan 85 Vortex Sniper with a 177 Cal. Barrel and a 25 Cal. Barrel
#4: A Black Hatsan 85 Sniper 25 Cal. Spring Piston ( Taken apart and being modified. )
Best Wishes - Tom

Yes.. I guess I have.. Scott. I just got around to putting some Quatro Trigger parts in it, that I had gotten from longhunter, quite a while ago. A spring had broken in-between two sears. Also there is ONE OTHER MYSTERY GUN ! It is on the way to me at this moment. I bought Marty's Gun that he listed in the GTA Classifieds. As in this one. ;D "1979 Sheridan Silver Streak for sale. Serial #; 272057."

I have one too, a .22 Vortex. Very accurate, quite a bit of kick. I can`t remember if it was the first or second break barrel I purchased in this current phase of my addiction but I can say it is what hooked me. Actually it was Mr. Hatsan`s fault (aka SteveP-52) who said he would buy it for what I paid, if I didn`t like it. With a guarantee like that how could I pass it up?

I own two, a .22 (in a Stryker stock) and a .25--both Vortex. Both are very accurate and the triggers were modded to make 'em very decent.

$75 is a great price.
Moving thread to the Turkish Gate.

I have 3. Used to be 4 but I over pressured the gas ram tinkering with the .177 and have since sent quite a few of the parts to other members when they needed something.
The 3 are a .22 Vortex now in a Striker wood stock, a .25 Vortex and a .25 springer. They have their rough edges but with a few simple and very cheap mods, they're a nice rifle with plenty of power for not a lot of money and $75 for a new one is steal. I've never used the included Optima scopes with any of them and although reviews vary, most of those scopes don't tend to last past 500ish shots, so if you're planning to scope it, you might consider keeping a new one in mind and there are plenty of inexpensive options out there for air gun rated scopes.
More than a few members own them as you've already seen and will happily help with any questions that haven't already been answered, so ask away and enjoy the new rifle :)

Nice looking Streak! I have a 1970 "Blue" and it is a pleasure to shoot, more so than the 392 that replaces it. I like the scout scope, I have a red dot on mine. I would be concerned about barrel separation if anything heavier were mounted.
Re the Hatsans, I have a few and although a bit "rough around the edges" compared to the German rifles they offer a lot of "Umph" for the price and can be made to shoot well.

From top to bottom:
-Edge Vortex .22 in a Striker stock
-Edge Vortex .25 swapped to a Harvest Moon camo stock
-Edge .25 springer in a Webley Spector tactical stock
All light weight, quick grabs and will get the job done out to the 30 yards I shoot.

I've had my .177 striker edge vortex for over two years and it hasn't shot well for over a year. The lockup was bad and velocity has dropped significantly. I have replaced the lockup parts and the pivot bolt and tiny screw and still have issues. I also believe that the gas ram is leaking; I was getting 720 fps with AA 10.3's last year (which seems low to begin with) and just a few weeks ago it had dropped to about 680 fps. I only paid 80 dollars for it and I don't shoot it much anymore but it would be nice to be able to shoot it every now and then.

$75 for this rifle is a great bargain. I have one in.22 and it has been a very accurate rifle with quite the power. Have shot over 1500 pellets through it. If you plan on scoping I recommend updating to a Hammers as I and several airgunners here would attest the toughness of that scope. Its a great carbine which is not heavy, shoulders well and not pellet fuzzy.

Pull that Gas Spring and put a Wire Spring in it Ronald.
I have one from a Mod 95 sitting here if you want it.
-
Jeff, thanks for the offer, but I'm not that interested in changing the gas ram right now since I rarely shoot the edge anymore.
