Looking at the current and projected weather through this weekend I made a decision to reschedule our March 25th Field Target match to Saturday March 31. The chance of rain for Sunday has risen to 70% and it is supposed to rain heavily for the next few days which would turn our course into a muddy quagmire. The weather projections starting Monday through the following weekend are for warm dry weather.
Rather than cancel the March match I decided to schedule it for a Saturday, I hope you can make it, if not we will see you in April.

I'm not sure if the Regal will be ready yet... The weather hasn't cooperated with getting it sighted in. But if not, I'll be there with a lean and mean HW50 that will be ready to take down some metal animals!

BRING SOME MUD BOOTS Folks !!
setting up & tearing down likely to be a bit challenging with all this rain & sadly not likely to drive my truck out into the ranges vast mud bog.

Based on what happened at Diablo (outrageously great scores), not sure I want to show up and be humiliated. ;D

Now, Jack, only a cold stranger would try and humiliate a fine fellow like you.
We're family and we don't humiliate family ... we just tease without mercy.
There ya go.

Its not looking good for me to make Saturday's match. It looks to be a perfect weather day too. No excuses for not knocking down all of the targets! Have a great match!

Turkeys are STUPID like that ... they go and hide from the Powder burner shooters but figure a dude with a BB gun can't hit turkey ;D
So opening day or not your chances only get better the further along the season go's.

Missed the biggest turkey I've seen it there, yet. Was walking to my blind, he was posing in some small redwoods. Gave me a side look, locked up and I shot. Not 20 yards away, he ducks his head as he took a step forward, the pellet cruising over his crown.
There's always tomorrow ( today)
Happy Easter everyone!

Turkeys have a 6th sense about them, if you got within 20 yds you did great. Sounds like you will have one soon.
Good friend in Shingle Springs took his first turkey with a Marauder while we were shooting the match. That is where I will be hunting shortly.
