Title: Is there a higher end barrel scope mount

Going out this afternoon it’s going to be 58 and sunny to shim my scope mount to make it work, even if it takes all afternoon.  I have the vintage and the new Crosman barrel mounts, both pretty cheesy really. Just seems someone would have made a good one given all these type of rifles out there?

  I have the 459MT mounts on several guns... pretty cheesy, yes, but they work alright.  Not much to choose from as far as mounts for an old Crosman.  I've been thinking of modifying a set of B272 mounts to see if I can make them work.  It will require boring them out to a larger barrel diameter.  May get around to it, I have a set waiting.

I picked op one of these two piece Sun-Optics picatinny [weaver(?)], B-Square brand used to make similar ones too (Model 17900), but are now discontinued, they clamp pretty good on the barrel especially now that I added a piece of electric tape  ;D, they are made for pistols with 7/16 barrels like the crosmans, they are easy to level for cant adjustments unlike the crossmans originals, some users cut them down to the size they need reducing weight at the same time too, even though they are not that heavy.

They make the vintage gun look a bit odd, but aside from the 4 piece 459MT and the original crosman's that's all there is, AFAIK.

maybe you can find these in the used markets, reviewers installed it on crosman 140 with 7/16 barrel

  I bought one of those B-Square mounts from PA, I don't know if they still carry them.  Works pretty well.  Here are all three, vintage Crosman, B-Square and 459MT:

Wow you have quite the early Crosman rifle collection!  I have never gotten into the CO2s just ignorance about bulk filling.
