Title: KPB 50 yard group
Post by: mrjohns@artelco.com on March 17, 2018, 03:22:22 PM
Finally shot the Kral Puncher Breaker at 50 yards.  It measured .690 CTC. Only shot one group before wind got over 10mph.

Yep, people can bad mouth the Krals for not being a quality build and in many instances they are right - compared to high end AGs, BUT in my experience with my Puncher Breaker, accuracy has never been an issue, nor has dependency on one or two pellets to maintain that accuracy.  They shoot everything very well with the exception of H&N Rabbit magnums - which shoot like arse out of most every rifle out there. Krals have their quirks, but are a tinkerers dream and have definitely increased my understanding/knowledge base.  Are you running the stock valve or have you upgraded to JSAR's valve?

Everything is stock except that I did put the quiet kit in it.   Iv'e had to replace a few orings but haven't had any problems other than that.  The more I shoot it, the more accurate it is. Of the four air guns I own, the Kral is the most fun to shoot.

Good shooting. I hope mine shoots that well when Troy gets it shipped to me.

It's not a point of people here "Bad Mouthing" them, but rather making people aware of the issues they will face, and whether or not they wish to work within those parameters. This is for any and all airguns. From the cheapest to the most expensive AG's

Ignorance is not bliss. Most of feel that being made aware of what to expect from a given platform well worth the trouble of letting he community know.

That is a lot of why we are here. I and many others very much appreciate the knowledge base here and the free sharing of it.

I'm perfectly aware, that when a person spends their hard earned money on a given product, they will defend it with all vigor. Facts are not even remotely considered by most. Only perceived insults, where none is intended. Only info for future consideration, and what to expect on average, given the info and experience gained by members here on the forum.

I agree Knifemaker, good or bad, I want to hear the opinions of the members here, on the  different air rifles. I have a KPB that has worked for me and i'm happy with it, but their are some who bought the early models and have had problems.  These rifles are easy to work on and I like to tinker with all my guns. The perfect air gun is not what I wanted or expected. My Daystate is very accurate and beautiful, but its not as much fun to shoot as the Kral is.

I know what you mean Rick!

My Daystate Air Wolf was so darned accurate, and such a dead shot cycle, that after getting over its amazing accuracy, I became bored with it, and it sat in a corner for a year. Great AG, but not much you can do to improve it. Just boring I tells ya! LOL

the little Maximus was mostly all work, and no play. the Rainstorm needed work to make it quieter, but man is it a powerhouse and fun to change springs and get results.  8)

The Kral is pretty much a turkish copy of it. (the Action). Although parts don't interchange. GRRRR!!!

A lot of what we discuss here is not only the shortcomings of different platforms, but how to get around them or improve them.
Very valuable info for us all! ;)
