Title: Hatsan M33 sloppy barrel.
Post by: Marco2021 on March 17, 2018, 05:28:39 AM
Hey all, can anyone tell me, when the barrel is closed there is no side to side play in the barrel..jaws are nice and tight. When I cock the gun and the sear engages the barrel has side to side play but when you load and close the barrel it is tight again. Is this normal? I've had a couple of early Shanghai break barrels that did that. Seems a strange set up..the flat head bolt on the left has a small locking Phillips screw. Tightened it up but no difference.
Replies appreciated.

Sounds like you need thicker shims, between the breach block, and the forks. Is there a wear mark, in the form of an arc, on the breach block? If so, then the forks are pinched, and you need to shim the breach block.
