Hi
Just noticed that Daisy no longer lists the 747 pistol on their website
These and the 717 are really nice pistols
Any idea why they are no longer listed

I've a feeling they had to make a choice between the 717 or the 747. The Lothar barrel is the only real difference, Any way you look at it, the 717 and the 747 are both decent shooting start up competition pistols. Less expensive won out. I get that. If I'm a Dad of a kid who wants to dip their toe into competition shooting, less expensive is the way I'd go to start out. I've been down that road with musical instruments.

Apparently both the 717 and 747 are discontinued.....

They were a little pricy but the quality was pretty good at least on my 30 year old 747
To bad they are now discontinued.
Guess I have another collectors item
Wish Daisy would expand their lineup instead of shrinking it

Oh well. Daisy is no longer really Daisy. They have been slowly shriveling up for about 20 years. :-\

Daisy is owned by UMAREX..Parts are still available on eBay.

I'm really into the D 7xx pistols. About two years ago I bought a bunch of parts that are most likely to need replacing and are not orings. Still have three rear sight assemblies and a couple valve stems. I can make the oil swipers out of door/window insulation strips from home depot. Got hem direct from Daisy and the lot may have cost me $20 shipped. Back then you could have bought the whole gun as parts for about $100.
