I dug up my old Daisy model 95 Quick Skill recently. I've had it since the 1960s. It wasn't in bad shape except for the stock so I decided to refinish it. This was my first attempt ever at refinishing a gunstock. I used tru oil. I think I should have used a slightly darker stain but overall I'm pleased with how it turned out.

I had one of those with sights during the Eisenhower administration. I've wondered what model it was.

buellm2,
I think it looks great! Even cooler is that you hung on to it this long.

I have a few old Daisys like this.... saving for rainy day projects.

I have one in really good shape but missing the compass and sundial.... I'll find them one day.

Looks great! I like the color of the finish myself. I wouldn't worry about the difference, unless you wanted it to be period correct.

I still have my Daisy model 94. I think its from about the late 50s. Not sure if that one can be salvaged. When I get around to cleaning it up, I'll know where to look for advice on fixing it up. I also still have most of my powder guns from when I was a kid but at my age I suppose I should think more seriously about getting rid of this stuff.

That turned out great. Nice job!
