Post by: gendoc on February 19, 2018, 07:06:12 PM
i'm setup shooting from west to east with a southeasterly gusting at 14-18knots and
range is 50yrds.
i'm going to try my hand cast 405gr rnfp .457 boolits i shoot in my 45/70 rifle and my smokeless ML 50/45.
the pics are when i found the 419fpe !!

in the first pic you can see my setup, with a boolit sitting on the bench out front of the rest
with the 419fpe shot.
then shot velocity thru 3 shots
then group results of 4 shots

final pic is another 419fpe pic

i began these shots with 3Kpsi.
sorry for the blurred pics....cell pics at work here  ::)

click on the pics...hopefully they will straighten up  ::)

purdy dang good for a stock texanss thats operating pressure is 3000psi

not much round here with that fpe from 3Kpsi unless itsa texan without the ss.... 8)

Pics are just fine. That's pretty good power for the shorter barrel tex.
Descent group at 50yds, mind trying it at hundred? Would be interesting to see how it does.
