So i was out side in uncles house when i saw a pigeon land on a post in an open field on his ranch. I took my RWS34 with me on this trip because i know there are many pigeons in his ranch and he hates the them because they c&*% all over the place sooo this was to me like giving candy to a baby ;D the pigeon was roughly between 45-55 yards away and their was pretty strong wind gusting to the left so i picked up my m34 loaded her up adn rested the rifle on a fence and my palm. I compensated for bullet drop and wind with the mildots from my leapers 4x32 fixed scope by aiming with the 2nd 1/2 mildot down and 1 mil to the right i ever so slightly squeezed the trigger and the gamo target pellet found its mark(ran out of superdomes and CPHP). the bird was hit in the chest and dropped like a rock.I was amazed by my shot as it was pretty far for an airrifle in windy conditions. so i walked down the field with an empty trash bag to pick up my hunt. S i brought this sucker back home and began to examine it when i turn around and a 2nd pigeon landed in the exact same spot. I quickly grabbed my m34 and repeated the same steps but this time i aimed a tiny bit higher and amazingly i hit it in the bak of the neck and the pellet exited to the side of its head.I dont know why but instead of the headshot casing immediate death, the bird twitched but im sure it was just the nerves its impossible for it to be alive after strait head shot like that.. Well i got to say i think i did hav luck on my side for the second shot with the headsot but it was amazing...Here are some pics.. :D

Nice shooting there!

Thanks for the complements.. The weird thing was that i barely realized my spring is broken after the shot when i took it apart because i began to notice a "ping" and twang..gonna order a vortek pg2 kit the and put a new seal on her :D

Flying vermin... nice extermination.

Nice shooting! Just before my Whisper's spring broke all the way, it was shooting so well. I was making amazing shots. I'm thinking though it was because of the lower power. It just made it easier to manage.
I tell you a 40 yard shot with an air gun is pretty impressive. Again great shooting.

Very nice just yesterday a friend and i were smoking a turkey having some beers when he tells me he has an old barn to tear down . I have been asked to rid it of about 50+ pidgons so they can clean it with pressure washers before the tear down sound like some possiable fun comming my way .Great shooting and story i lothe them filty birds

yes the power loss does seem to aid ease of use of the gun which is why i was going to tune it anyhow but now i have an even greater reason to do so. I am going to order the pg2 kit today!! oh boy am i excited on my first tune..Any tips on the tune??thankyou all

Atchman's tip #1: Make sure you build a spring compressor
#2 Make sure you have a place to work so when you drop the trigger it doesn't burst into a million pieces and you have to send it to Gene or Mike Melick to repair.
#3 The spring is POWERFUL! You can't possibly hold it or compress it without the right tools.
#4 Get online and look for the plans and ask a BUNCH of questions in the shop before actually doing it!
(I've spent so much money breaking guns when I try and tune them. It would have been FAR easier and cheaper to send it off-for me at least). :D

haha i have already took my gun apart with my bare hands no speciall tools just my bed a nylon string i use to hold the rear assembly from flying off and a pillow in front of it just in case i loose my grip

When you go to the emergency room, just like hunting, we need pictures :P

Well dont hope for the worse either :p..Im sure of my mechanic abilties and strength of my arms ..and the rope i use i use as leverage and helps greatly in takin the reciever off.

Nice long distance shooting with the 34! I finally took the sights off my 36 (same gun as 34 w/checkering, recoil pad & monte carlo stock). It shaved a little weight on it and looks more streamlined. Those metal sights are almost 1/2lb! Plus the view in the scope is more clear now :)

Yea that 36 is beautiful..I also like the look on these rifles without the sights but they come in handy for me when the scope fails or when i just want to enjoy the open sights..
