Finally a visitor. Rattus Rattus Bonkus.

I did not retrieve the body. I know I hit it because of the rat's reaction, and by the fur covered pellet hole on the backdrop. So many dead cottonwood tree leaves that are the exact same coloring as the Rattus Rattus makes it really hard at 3:30am to find the varmint. I heard the thrashing around death dance so I'm sure I succeeded.  Skunk came by a few minutes later, and perhaps it made off with the rat.

The movie view is much, much better than what I see in the scope. I saw a mostly white outline, and thus took a body shot. The first video is from the ATN X-sight.

Good shooting Steve!  He is a goner for sure.  You did great considering the very low light conditions.

Hah! I've purposely put the feeding station within about 8 feet of the main Skunk and Possum Trail. They usually go back an forth on that trail which is perpendicular to the stairs. Last night in the first video after the rat shooting, I saw one of the Skunks go down the stairs to where the rat leaped or fell or expired. So, two plus two = skunk carrying away dead rat. They do it all the time.

you blew it through the back stop, a perfect key hole shot.... good shooting Steve.
 I can do video with my NV setup and it's pretty clear but the DVR I have only does 10 second video or motion detection so I don't use it, I need to get a better one I seen on Ebay.
