Title: Gauntlet leaking air
Post by: Joekrooz on January 22, 2018, 08:44:06 AM
I’ve got a .22 Gauntlet that I’ve had for a couple months and never shot. Tank was loose so I tightened it and loosened and retightened reg to line up fill port and gauge. Filled it up and air is slowly leaking out after sitting for a couple of days. Where should I start to remedy the leaking?  Thanks

I use soapy water from a spray bottle on gauge, fill port etc..

I recommend you retighten the regulator where you loosened it to align the gauge and fill port.  Ensure this connection is tight then reattach it to the rifle.  Even after the air is released into the rifle as you tighten the cylinder, you can still tighten it another ¼ - ½ turn to align the gauge and fill port.  This adjustment is also addressed in the owner's manual.  If it continues to leak, I would contact Umarex about a warranty replacement.

Double check O-Rings make sure none have been damaged. Replace it needed then Add some silicone to O-Rings then try it again. If still leaks and none of above advise helped contact Umarex.
