Title: airforce breach slide to top hat gap
Post by: mschlee on January 17, 2018, 11:59:12 PM
for condors/talons/etc. how much gap should there be between the top hat and the breach slide after cocking? when i close it after i cock and load it there is some play i.e., i can wiggle the breach slide around a bit. it seems like it should be snug but thought i'd check with others.

thanks in advance

Yep, there is somewhat of a gap between the breech and the rear of the frame. My TalonP Carbine is about 1/8 of an inch +- where you can see some of the top hat. There is a breech seal (o-ring) just inside of the breech that will seal as it is closed over the top hat the o-ring needs to be lubed regularly. Should not be a problem if the gun is shooting ok. If you damage the o-ring you will know it different sound, drop of performance, puff of air in the face. Things of that nature.
