We've seen as high as 108°F since July 27th here in N. Texas. Today I went up to Academy for some pellets at 9:30 am and it was 95° already.....too hot
to be outside shooting, for me. I usually go out around 6pm and shoot for 30 minutes or so, but that's my limit. How's everyone else doing with the summer temps ???

Anything over about 80* is waaay too hot.

It's been in the mid 90's here in GA put somehow I manage to put up with it by hiding in the shade...
Normally i'll go out there for about an hour at a time, or until I cant bear the heat! :D

This summer has been cool down here in South Texas, well lets say it hasn't hit 116 yet like it did last year.
I shoot any time the wind was not blowing or mow grass (with a push mower) until about noon time. Then it's get naked and sit in front of a fan time until about 7pm.
Not having air condition in the house makes it very miserable to say to least. This year, while sleeping I have gotten sick (light headed and soaking wet) a couple of times in the past two weeks. It usually happens before the house cools down at night (after midnight).
On the way home Thursday I broke-down and bought a window a/c unit. I had to buy and replace the window with a window that would hold the air condition. After four hours it took to install the a/c, I have air conditioning now.
I set it to 85 degrees and let me tell you brothers, that I slept good last night.
I can see that the next couple of months I will be spending more time inside and less time outside.
Now, I got to figure out how to pay the electric bill that will be doubled without cutting into my AG funds.

Dying here in Fort Worth TX. I only go outside when I have to. It was 90F at 11:00P.M. The other night, unbelievable!!! I lived in the desert for a few years in southern California, and it gets hotter, but it cools off at night...this is just never ending.

89 to 90 and very humid but I'm still getting out for the day and night hunt's. ;) Ed

Too HOT to even enjoy ANY outdoor fun in s.w ohio, mid to upper 90's with hum. to match!!! Come on Fall.
-
Only 66 here today....Hot wheathers on the way

Here in West TN it's been brutally hot for several weeks. Today was no exception. It hit 101 degree with about 85-90
% humidity. Really miserable and makes trigger time impossible or at least VERY uncomfortable. I'll just bite my tongue and wait for a little cooler weather, like sub 90. LOL
Happy Shooting!!!!

here in middle georgia its been unbelievably hot... high 90's with 80+% humidity. i still get out almost every day to target shoot.
-
70 degrees, overcast, cool breeze going here. We haven't had any really hot weather here for weeks.
-
90's to 100's for almost 2 months with just a few days break because of some rain....Arkansas.
I mess with my guns in the garage............haven't been messing around much lately. :o I ordered in parts for several tunes. Hard to tune when sweat keeps dripping into your eyeballs.
I should rephrase that........i'm not a tuner, just a parts changer. ;D

well I'm between Catusrat and DanoinTx and we havent hit 100 yet this year either . but like Dano says , its 90 still at 11pm here as well. Mornings aren't any better, its 80 with the humidity around 90 and dew point about 80 , so it makes it so damp, the glass in the scopes fog up and you end up dripping wet after 10 minutes outside.
-
Tallahassee.. Was gonna shoot some after I mowed at 0800, but they had to drag my near lifeless and sweatstained body back in front of the a/c..
-
northern california...it should be high 90s but this is the coldest summer i can remember...its foggy til 1pm i think it will 99f on christmas day
-
Here in east central Georgia it is hot , humid and rainy. Misery by anyway you want to define it. Doubt I will do any shooting sessions until the comfort factor increases.

Hey threex4,
I heard on KTSA that SA hit the 100 degree mark. Welcome to the summer.

Thanks all for replying, sounds like we're in a pickle till fall arrives. Those living in the higher latitudes have got it made this time of year.

Hey Glenn, I guess I spoke too soon eh, LOL. last three days 100+ with heat index about 105+. missed the news tonight, so I dont know if it made another 100+ day or not, will find out at 10pm news.
And ya know , still no rain in sight,
the large cracks in the ground have even larger cracks

It's been stinking hot here in central fl.
I just finished a 9 day trip, Surveying in 7 cities. 13 to 14 hour days in this heat is brutal.
I am glad to have the work, but I can't wait for November.
I am not leaving the AC until I have to go back to work on Monday.

Here in Lamesa TX its been 98+ degrees and if i try to shoot at night I have to fight off mosquitos. Fall cannot come fast enough!!!
-
I have just been ducking outside to take out the birds on my roof, or just shoot in the morning. We finally got a cold front this week. Down to 98 or so.
-
It hasnt been bad around here for the last few days. It was pretty "dang" humid before that though.

The heat wave is over in Arkansas. Slept with the windows open and the fan on, the lab chased nutters again this morning.........life is good. ;D
