Just got this of EBay, guy selling them, new old stock still in plastic bag. Contains a plastic, looks like replacement part for a specific rifle with 4 screws and this mount. Never have seen the extra curved metal piece which I imagine takes up room if you mount it on a thinner barrel? Bought it just to be vintage and have been disappointed with the aluminum ones they sell now.

There should be two of those shims. They are for use with a 7/16" diameter barrel (model 101, 102, 114, etc.) They will work without the shims on a 9/16" barrel (model 180, 160, 1400, 400.)

I also bought one of these kits over at Ebay [Kit model 410], these pop up frequently but you need to make sure the components you need are included, as the sellers usually don't know what is missing from the kit, most kits I've seen are incomplete, some sold do not include this mount at all and instead include a different mount model 'UM' for other vintage models, don't know if the original Kit was supposed to include both mount models.
The Kit I bought was missing the scope, but later found the 4x japanese scope in a different kit but without any mounts, apparently these mounts were sold separately too, the crosman part number is M-156, I bought one from an online seller/dealer before I knew of the 410 kits, it was a new old stock, but the screws stripped fairly quick, metal fatigue?, if anyone can tell me what size/kind of thread those black screws are I'd really appreciate it, I need to find replacements. ::)
The one issue I found with this scope mount is that they slip off center after repeated use and/or resting on the side, especially when using the shims on the CR140 barrel, the same mount also tends to slightly rock up and down too, enough to affect your shot, I read around here the solution was to use some kind of non-slip material on the barrel or under the mount for the slippage, as far as the rocking, I never got around to look for a solution yet.

Got an idea that may work. I hate the idea of clamping metal to a painted barrel. I think I will make two leather spacers. They will compress and hold without maring. We will see?

That's a great idea!
Keep us posted

I line the inside surface of the mount with electrical tape.

The seller is sending me another shim so all option are on the table. Still may try the leather given the compression it offers, possibly better holding power?

The model 114 in my pic has an old Crosman mount with a Weaver B4. I have had this rifle and scope together for over four years. It is always right on target and it is used often and a lot.

Hmmmmm.
3/4" tube scopes?
I have an old Glenfield in nice condition waiting to be mounted.

Hello Guys
I am looking for a Crosman Master mount for my Crosman 1400. Does anyone here have one to sell? I have the scope, just need the mount.
Thanks, Jim

Would the Mac-1 mount fit a 1400? Then get a Scope with rings or cheap Weaver scope? That Crosman mount is not the greatest anyway and I haven’t seen one for sale in quite a while? The Mac-1 mounts are awesome, but not sure of the width of a 1400 barrel?

Leather will make your barrel rust. That's why you should never leave your pistol in a leather holster.

Looked at the Mac1 mount, looks it it’s made for .177 BB gun barrel. My barrel measures 0.567”.
Still looking for a Master Mount……

I have a couple of sets of plastic shims from Brownell to covert 1" rings to 3/4" to use the 2x vintage scopes with modern scope rings.
Also you'll sometimes see vintage scopes and mounts that are advertised as 3/4" that are actually 7/8". Hard to tell the difference.

I know it doesn't help, but I just gave away two complete sets (with both shims and the plastic adapter) in the Pay-it-Forward gate. The picture by Renfield was especially helpful in identifying all the parts. Thank you all for contributing and making this forum a great resource.

Darn!……still looking.

Jim, PM sent.

Crosman Master Scope mount found…..
Just wanted to let you all know that one of our members came through for me with his scope that he was not using anymore.
This accessory has made my gun complete now.
I am a very happy camper.
Thanks to this forum I was able to make a connection to obtain the parts I needed.
Thank you, Jim

The one I used on my 114 worked so well, I was reluctant to change it though I do have a bigger, brighter scope on it now.
