Hi all,
I have enjoyed my QB78 Deluxe for the past month.
I have the newer model with a longer end cap.
Does anybody know where I can find a bulk fill cap for the newer QB78?
Thanks
Nick

I think that Mike 2 flying Dragon has them.

I know of the Flying Dragon bulk fill cap.
According to the website this cap does not work with the newer QB78 models:
"Bulk fill cap for 60c or Some QB-78 with fill nipple, does not fit newer QB-78 family tubes without modification"
^&$@_=s does not sell this bulk fill cap anymore.
Are there any other options?
If the new QB78 cannot be bulk filled then the cost of CO2 cartridges will make the cost of shooting the QB78 too high.

Here it is available in Canada http://www.canadashootingsupply.ca/qb-or-xs-78-bulk-fill-adaptor-kit.html (http://www.canadashootingsupply.ca/qb-or-xs-78-bulk-fill-adaptor-kit.html)
That's Canadian dollars so will be less in US dollars. Shouldn't be a problem shipping I'm sure. Ramon is great to deal with as well, you can send him an email if shipping doesn't calculate right.
sales@canadashootingsupply.ca is their email address.

If you can't find one you can just make it > http://s84.photobucket.com/user/cajuncj/library/air/QB78%20Bulk%20fill%20cap%20mod?sort=3&page=1 (http://s84.photobucket.com/user/cajuncj/library/air/QB78%20Bulk%20fill%20cap%20mod?sort=3&page=1)

If you aren't planning on shooting cartridges anymore, you can remove the cap portion of the end plug. Drill a 1/8" hole all the way through, then drill and tap a 1/8" npt hole almost all the way through. Drill the center of the cap to slightly larger than that hole. Thread in a one way foster fitting and a small spring for the check and you've got your own bulk fill cap for very little cash.

True enough, this is what I did, sorry for not mentioning that ☺️

Nick,
Keep checking the online Walmart site or go back through the bargain gate here. I've been able to stock up 12 gram cartridges in the 32 cent to 35 cent range when Walmart runs a special. Shipping is free over a set amount ($35?) and the last order I was able to get an additional discount for having the cartridges shipped to the local store for pick up. This doesn't solve your problem but it may reduce the cost of the cartridges.
Jim
Here is a link. The JT cartridges are not on sale at present. The last time I ordered a few months ago they were on sale for $4.95 for the 15 pack (about 33 cents each).

+1 on the JT...I actually like them better than the Crosman....zero issues....good luck
Ps. at $5.60 still a nice savings, especially if u order a quantity.....

Thanks for all the replies.
I have been spending the past week trying to find a way to bulk fill.
I do not have the tools or skills to modify the existing cap so that's out.
I know of the Walmart CO2 sales, I still have some JT CO2 cartridges left from the last sale.
I will have to purchase a bulk fill end cap.

Since you don't have the skills needed to mod the fill cap that Mike has, I'd still give him a call and see if he can set one up for you. I think it only needs a new o ring groove.

+1 to the question, and thanks to all who responded. I haven't shot my new AR2078 enough yet to go through 2 cartridges, let alone an entire box, but bulk fill was in the back of my mind from the start. I will definitely check into the responses posted; thanks again!

I will say that Mike tried to help me out.
I called him on a bulk fill cap fror my XS-60 and asked what the difference was to the "Newer" QB style for my AR2078-B.
Seems the vent hole on the tube of the newer QB line is lower and the oring on the XS bulk fill cap will not cover it.
He cut an second o-ring groove in the XS-60 Bulk fill cap so it SHOULD have been able to be used on both the XS-60 and AR-2078-B.
BUT when I received it , it would NOT screw on the AR, threads are apparently different on the two.
I did not contact him in order to rectify because he did not charge me any extra, and it still works on the XS.

Did you contact Canada shooting supply? It's not like it's China or something, though it probably will take over a week to get to you.

You could also try contacting GMAC in GB and see if theirs works on the newer models.
