I brought home a Crosman Legacy 1000 on whim because it reminded me of my old 2100. This thing shoots ok, but the sights are terrible and the plastic receiver is too flimsy to be a good scope mount. Does anyone know if I can order I think the 2100B metal receiver from Crosman and install it on this thing? I have had it apart and back together already, so no returning it now.

Gosh! Is it possible you can't find the genuine one in your OWN country ??
Well, I found something like it in Portugal : https://www.mundilar.net/en/air-rifles/air-rifle-crosman-2100b.html. (https://www.mundilar.net/en/air-rifles/air-rifle-crosman-2100b.html.) This is a highly reliable seller but I don't know if it ships to the US.
Same with afg - eu, where I bought mine some years ago, but it's still a tacker, even if the outside barrel got small rust spots : https://www.afg-defense.eu/air-guns-cal.45mm/air-rifle-crosman-2100-4.5mm/ (https://www.afg-defense.eu/air-guns-cal.45mm/air-rifle-crosman-2100-4.5mm/)
Now, you may get upset discovering the price we have to pay in the Old Continent, specially once euros converted in dollars, but that's what we have to provide to fill our passion, if we appreciate US/Chinese product. personnaly, I do. ;D

The 2100 is very reasonable. 'Specially a refurb. If it were me, I would just buy one for pellets and use that Legacy for BBs.

I bought a 2100 Referb direct from Crosman a year ago last November on a Cyber Monday sale. I got the gun and a box of 1200 pellets for $39. The gun gave me trouble right off the bat and I called Crosman Service. They paid the shipping and I sent it back. They then sent me a brand new gun along with another box of 1200 pellets and some shoot-in-see targets. They also e-mailed me a 25% discount code that is good indefinitely. ;D It took a while to get things all straightened out but their customer service was superb. The new gun shoots GREAT and is very accurate out to 25yds or so. Crosman Service is AAA # 1 in my book ! Best Wishes - Tom

In response to your Q,,, Yes the 2100 metal receiver will transplant to the legacy.
-
Got the receiver and screws today. Transplant was successful. It is stacking pellets at 10 yards like it should. Once winter goes away in a couple days I'll get to shoot outside and see what it can do.
-
Glad it worked out.
How much was the receiver?
Thanks.

$13.85 for the left, $9.03 for the right, $1.15 x 3 for the screws. I had looked at the refurb 2100B awhile back but the shipping was way higher than the cost of the rifle.

Not bad. If I guy wanted a 2100 with black stock pieces it would end up costing about what a normal 2100 does. And doesn't the Legacy have a metal piston?

Crosman Outlet Store sells the refurb 2100 for $39. I bought a pair of them 3 or 4 years ago and I couldn't tell them from new. They still shoot as expected today.
