Took out the hammer and added a weight. Removed the auto safety bar . Removed the barrel and found the front bushing was already vented. Took the trigger apart and changed the spring . Put it all back together . Installed the scope and a light . For shooting pests at night . Added the condor hi flow tank. I need to check the numbers yet on the Chrono
-
Going to see what I can get out of the 12 inch barrel and decide if I have to go to a 18 inch for more fps
-
What cal. is your Talon? I love my 25cal. Condor. I have plans on a 22cal. Talon build, so I would like to hear how your talon works out for you. Keep us posted.
-
It's a 25 Cal I'm going to try the 33.95 gr jsb pellets and hoping I can get around 800 fps . Otherwise I might go to a 18 inch barrel
-
I got to Chrono the gun using hi flow condor tank hammer weight and set the power wheel to 8 and 8 filled to 2850 about . Used the 33.95 jsb mk2 pellets shot 1. 889
2.878
3.878
4.866
5.856
6.859
7.857
8.846
9.844
10.832
I haven't messed with anything other than installing the weight and turning wheel to 8 and 8 . I'm surprised at the speed threw the 12 inch barrel

Mark, you may view this as irrelevant, but in testing of my .22 Condor SS shooting JSB Beast 34gr pellet with 18" barrel, stock internals, shim under the tophat and power wheel setting of 0-0 @ 2500psi, I'll get 850's fps and 1.5" group accuracy @ 40yds from a rest.
From your postings, you've done a bit of tinkering with the Talon and seem to be questioning if to do more with added barrel length? To each his own, but, you've got enough fps and energy with the barrel you have, how is the accuracy?
Myself......if the Talon shoots good with heavy ammo, I wouldn't be spending for a barrel just to gain a little extra fps, but here again, to each his own. ;)
I like a compact, carrying style gun like the Talon, and nearly "pulled the trigger" on a .177 earlier this year and still may add one at some point in time, but I'm also looking at a couple other options in .177 pcp.

Hey Mann, nice numbers you have there. Sounds like I will not have to do as much work to get the power up as I thought I would. Thanks for posting your numbers. Now I'm really ready to get a talon 22cal.
-
Yeah I'm happy with the speed . I just want to get the extreme spread closer . I was thinking of using a nylon washer or o-ring under the top hat to smooth it out some . Any ideas as to what thickness to try
-
I just put an o-ring under my tophat. I never did a before an after Chrono on my Condor.
I plan on ordering the tophat and shims from Talon Tunes and more, now that Christmas is over.
I will bet a TT tophat and shims will get you close to what your looking for.
-
Was thinking about ordering the one piece top hat and shims
-
I ordered the qctt or the one piece top hat and shim kit also ordered the trigger spring to give it all a try
-
I got qctt and installed it after polishing the valve intake or spring retainer enlarged the hole in the one restrictor to .130 it was at .115 . The hole in the stem is quite a bit bigger than on the stock condor top hat so I figured I would try the restrictor. Sanded and installed a .025 shim under the top hat and I will Chrono it tomorrow with the 33.95 and see how talon tunes top hat works
-
I also was able to get the trigger where I want it . It's at about 1 lbs what I did was ordered 2 talon tunes trigger springs and installed them in the two outer spring spots and reassembled the trigger
