Just wondering if anyone has one of these? I,m curious if it is easier to cock than the 1000fps model and if it is quieter.
I would like a good backyard/arm friendly gun and thought it might work along the same lines as an XS12.

it should be. i did not know that walmart carried the F4 in low power guise... do you know what the model number is? is going to be on the left side of the breach block... i would love to get one too. is it in store only or did you ordered it?

Here’s a link to it: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Crosman-F4-Classic-NP-177-Caliber-Break-Barrel-Air-Rifle-with-Scope-695fps/53968151 (https://www.walmart.com/ip/Crosman-F4-Classic-NP-177-Caliber-Break-Barrel-Air-Rifle-with-Scope-695fps/53968151)
Looks like it is online only.

Thanks for the post Weldon. I don,t have one yet and I the local Walmart did not have one on the shelf so yes it might be online only.
At 62.39 I might have to order one and give it a try.

At least Walmart is easy to return to if anything is wrong with it. Only ordering problem I’ve had with them is a tin of H&N pellets that never got shipped. Called them up and they refunded me immediately.

I have one. I converted to a .22 cal, but changed it back to a .177. It is a good little gun, just not as much oompf at longer ranges. Piston and ram are different from a regular gas ram, as it is a short stroke ram. I even changed it over to a spring just for something to do one day but changed it back. I think it would be a good urban back yard pester as it is very quiet, and you wouldn't have to worry about damage control as much with the lower velocity / penetration.
Oh yeah I ordered mine on line as I haven't seen one ith three Wallys we have in Athens Ga.

got one on the way!!!

those were illinois guns for when they had that weird restriction... now walmart is stuck with some of them left over, and they are not always available... Nick, you got any chrony numbers in .177? how quiet is it really?
-
No I don't have any chrony numbers, but can tell by the penetration and the way the pellet drops off that it is no where near the 1200 fps of the full power guns. I just switched it over to a .22 with a spring to see if I would like it, but switched it back because it filled a nitche the way it was built. I like it, fun gun to shoot, like I said it is rather quiet and would be good for back yard pesting in a urban evironment.
I think with proper shot placement, (head), it would have no problem taking a squirrel at 20 yards. It will go through and through a vegetable can at 15 yards haven't tried it any further but sure it would go through at least one side. It uses the same stock as the Incursion and F4 Crosmans, not a particularly comfortable stock for me, but you get used to it LOL.
Noise wise, I hear no muzzle report, mostly I just hear the pellet strike the target. You also hear the internals, but they are relatively quiet like most gas rams. Like I said it would be backyard urban friendly for sure.

I was just too nosy to let this slip by and I bought one. I have only shot it a few times because of the weather but this thing is super easy to cock and easily the quietest break barrel I have ever shot. All I hear when the shot goes off is the thud of a gas ram and the pellet striking the target. I like it.

I wonder since they are advertised at 695, that it only shoots about 500?
