Title: Question: HOW MUCH TROUBLE TO FIT A QB in a Discovery Stock
Post by: Airgunhunter73 on December 11, 2017, 01:07:39 PM
Hey guys and gals I'm looking to put my Badger in a Discovery Barracuda stock and I was wondering how close they are fit as to how much inletting I'll have to do to the stock, I really like the Barracuda style stock from Boyds as I have one of these on my Ruger 1022 really lite and love the looks, I've searched around but couldn't find anything specifically on this fit.

Thanks in advance Terry

the inletting will be too wide and leave a gap on both sides of the trigger group.  the action screw is further forward on the QB.  I've put a discovery in a QB stock, so going the other way would work too. It will not be show quality though without a lot of work.

I think I read not too long ago about using a Boyd’s Microstock for the Badger. I have a piece of Black Walnut from a tree we cut down. It’s been drying in the barn for almost 30 years. I made a stock for my .17 mach2 and for my Howa .223 from this same tree. It will be my winter project.

Mistake. Microfit not microstock.
