Ok I received my gauntlet in 22 today checked the bottle all is well but when loaded and fired it makes a sputtering sound instead of a pop like sound but the pellets are hitting hard is this normal
-
It seems that a lot of people are noticing that the bottle may not be fully tightened. Try removing the handgaurd and giving that bottle a little twist and see if it seats more ? Be safe, good luck !

The bottle did turn just 1/4 turn aired it back up to 2000 with the same results
-
If the bottle has more than about a 1/8th inch gap between the regulator and the housing (the machined block where you screw it in) it's loose. I had the same problem you had. The bottle needs to be tightened up. 1/4 turn is not enough. Tighten it until you can properly degas the gun. If you can't degas the gun, then the bottle is not seated all the way. The degasing procedures are in the owners manual.

I beleive this is normal. Mine makes that sound too. Listen to the sound the Walther Rotek makes on airgun tv’s review with Rick Eutsler. Same thing

Thanks for the replys I'm new to air guns and just got into pcp with the gauntlet and a hand pump

Shrouded or guns with LDCs are basically "popless" if it seems to be shooting hard , its the shroud doing its work.
