Been looking at jumping into the PCP market with a Bullboss but am stuck between which caliber to order it in. either the .22 or the .25?
Main 2 uses would be 1, Dispatching our Champagne d’Argent meat rabbits which full grown are 9 to 12lbs but are culled before that and may be shortening the cycle further. 2nd use would be pest control consisting of chipmunks and the occasional weasel.
I would also like to take the Air Rifle to the range with me and shoot the 50 yard targets and 100 yard if it can do it.
My property is 1.6 acres with children on at least 2 sides of my property and the house is in the center so over shooting/over penetrating is my main concern with the .25.
I also need to stay quiet because the neighbors do talk. Had 3 roosters (wanted them to grow a bit more to suppliment our GSDs raw food diet) that decided to crow non stop one day and posts started popping up on facebook within the "neighborhood group" asking who had the rosters. They were taken care of immediately afterwards.
Any help would be most appreciated! Been planning on picking up a Marauder for probably 3 years before coming across Hatsan and their ingenious removable air chamber design as well as their accuracy. Seeing the Bullboss go on sale for $449 was the last straw! LOL

Owner of a 25 cal Boss here..
I love the knock down power of it.
The 22 cal is nice and i'm thinking about going with the set up next myself.
My advice would be if you can..Maybe go with the wood stock version of either.
I ended up adding a rail closer to trigger for bipod to get things more solid. wiggled horribly with tall bipod. But it also turned out more comfortable to be able to grab up front too with bipod moved father back..plus balanced out nice.
I shoot mostly from 50 yards out using H&N Baracuda Hunter extremes.28.40 gr.. Serious knock down power.. My rifle loves them even more then the JSB's
Muskrats to pigeons to pies.... One shot is all it will take. Even if you miss on head, heart or lung .. It's down.
Luck on your air rifle adventures.
Bang for the buck for sure.

.25 Bullboss owner as well.
I agree with everything Ron posted. I don't think there will be a big difference in muzzle report between .22 and .25, and unless it is a rather large critter, there'll probably be pass-thru even with the .22. So, just need to be vigilante of your flight path. Since you want to go 100yd, the .25, with wood stock, would be the optimal choice. The heavier pellet will be less affected by wind, and the wooden stock will provide a much, much greater stability for a bipod, over the synthetic stock's bipod rail.
-
Problem is the lowest price Bullboss in wood is $622 vs the synthetic Bullboss being on sale for $449.99 with no option for wood from that store. :(
Oh and as far as being vigilante with pass through, I still treat my lower power .177s as if they are firearms and make sure if the pest climbs a free that I have the tree or thick branch behind it. I will walk around the tree to get a safe shot or wait till the chipmunk moves to a safer shooting location. :)
-
Then just go with the syn stock and use sandbags when you're shooting for distance
-
If noise is of utmost concern I would go with a .22 plenty of power for what you'd like and even though muzzle report might not be that different pellet impact is louder on .25s if that's of concern
-
Dairyboy, I sure noticed that when I upgraded from my old Crosman 357 to the Trail NP Pistol! That impact can echo on those silent zero wind days! Would be nice to hear the difference first hand but not going to happen before the sale ends.
The impact though I feel I should be able to get away with since one of my other hobbies is paintball and some of my markers are pretty quiet with the impact of the paint being louder. :)
Hate the trigger on the Trail, far too stiff of a pull!

One of my paper targeting system is a 5 gallon bucket, filled with rubber mulch. You barely hear anything even with .25.

Thanks! that was going to be one of my next posts asking what people use for these higher power rifles to stop the rounds when practicing. :)

If you're willing to wait, HatsanUSA periodically have refurbished wooden stock models available for $520. I believe you can request them to notify you via email when there's availability.

Those .25 cal Baracuda pellets just make you smile... But on the other hand the .22 cal Bullboss is very versatile, shooting 21 gn Cuda, 25.4 gn JSB Monsters, and can even go to heavier pellets for more down range energy. I owned a Bullboss in .22 and really liked it. I also owned an MrodAir P12 at the same time and knew one of the guns I would keep and the other would be sold. Weight was the deciding factor and I sold the Bullboss, as the P12 was about three lbs lighter which fit my hunting style better.
On the other hand I also had an Airforce Condor in .25 cal that could easily hit 70 ft lbs with those .25 Cudas and really make you smile... 8)
Decisions, Decisions... :o
-
I would even consider the Bullboss in .177Caliber 0.177" (4.5mm)
Max Velocity 1170 fps
Muzzle Energy 27 ft/lbs
Loudness 4-Medium-High
Barrel Length 23.0"
Overall Length 36.8"
Shot Capacity 10
40 shots for fill, that can be adjusted , possibly just by shooting heavier pellets.
-
Before falling in love with a Bullpup I would make an effort to shoot one of two, they aren't for everyone,
Yes they look cool but if most of the shooting is done from a bench a rifle would be better IMO.
-
Thabks for all the help everyone!
Ended up ordering a .25 cal Bullboss, 3 extra magazines $9 somethng each, and a 2nd air chamber.
Just hoping all works well! Think I'm going to enjoy this one a lot.
Nomadic Pirate, always wanted a bullpup due to their full length barrel but shorter distance between muzzle and trigger. Due to the main purchase as dispatching meat rabbits, I needed to minimize the length between the two. Would have rather ordered a nice .22 or .25 pistol but I only have the option of one PVP in our budget the next 3 years so this Bullboss fit all the criteria I needed.
Really hope I like it as much I'm thinking I will. Loved a Sayers Aug I shot 24 years ago other than it jamming a lot but only because the owner just had it cerakoted and was still breaking in due to the added thickness of the chericote in some areas. Well at least that was what he told me.

Congrats! I'm certain you're gonna love it!
Not sure if you're aware, but I believe they include 3 mags.....at least it did with the Bullboss.
-
I kept seeing that it only came with 1 magazine. If it comes with extras I'm ok with that also! :) Just figure since everywhere else I checked wanted $15 each I would grab a few at under $10 ea.
-
If the Hatsan has clip storage they do have a couple spares included ;)

The Bullboss came with 3 mags, a degassing tool, fill probe, a trigger adj hex wrench, and extra orings.
I took a few off-hand shots with my Bullboss, last night, in my 15ft indoor range......a single ragged hole! :D For the past month I've been shooting my new Benji Trail gas ram exclusively, and going from a beast trigger kicker gun to a nice trigger pcp is so night and day.
-

It would be very ironic if the more expensive Gladius, with mag storage, only came with 1 mag, while the Bullboss, with no mag storage, are supplied with 3 mags.
-
That is great news if this Bullboss comes with 3 mags! Thought only the Gladius came with exts mags due to its additional storage. Only part I wish the Bullboss had was thesame mag storage at the Gladius ot at least the option to attach it. :(
So Xraycer, what you are saying is the difference will be like the change from using a Tippmann to a higher end electro for paintball. :) Soo crazy smooth and accurate!

Sorry, Martin, I've never done the paintball thing, so I have no idea. But, in regards to the Bullboss, smooth and accurate would be a fair description.......and don't forget FUN ;)

Ain't that the truth.
This is something a lot of people don't think about when looking at bullpups, & that's because they aren't made to be suitable for every type of shooting, or use. Sure, they can be used for most types of shooting, but ideally they are designed to be perfect for when a shooter needs to come up fast on a target, or is in a somewhat confined space with limited room for movement.Their primary issue for me is those high rails, I like my optics as close to the bore as possible.
-
I didn't really understood this quote.
Nomadic Pirate, always wanted a bullpup due to their full length barrel but shorter distance between muzzle and trigger. Due to the main purchase as dispatching meat rabbits, I needed to minimize the length between the two.
I hunt in super thick areas and the real advantage with the Bullpups was in the transport of the gun mainly the ability to use a one point sling, but when it comes to actual shooting the advantage swings back to the Carbine for various reasons,
if a gun is to long to move around in the vegetation to a shooting position well you not gonna have any shooting lanes either then :) :)
A lot of Folk Lore surrounding Bullpups :)
-
Thanks for the advice!
-
This is the only bullpup I'd ever own, and I have been very pleased. I absolutely love the compactness, but wished it was about 2lb lighter. However, as stated before, once the gun is shouldered, it doesn't feel as heavy as it actually is..... unlike a full length rifle such as the Marauder. Plus the heavier weight is a stability advantage when shooting off a bench. This gun is very accurate and smooth off the shoulder or on the bench.
Martin, I've made a couple of simple mods to suit me better. I've completely removed the cheek rest, and after trying a few different things, I found that just applying a few layers of electrical tape, to the cheek rest area of the receiver, was satisfactory to me, in regards to comfort. I also never liked that appendage on the bottom of the stock, so I chopped it off. Now, I like the look much better :D
-
Nomadic Pirate,
Missed the first line of your post stating you didn'the understand my comment.
We raise rabbits to supplement our dogs raw food diet. Dispatching a rabbit is up close hence the reason I preferred less distance between the trigger and barrel.
Would have liked tof have just picked up a pistol for this duty but the cost was the same as a rifle and cold only choose one or the other for a long while. The Bullboss going on sale for $449 made it hard to pass up since It will be a multi use Air rifle vs the pistol which would be much more limited.
-
I'm excited you went with the 25 cal.. Awesome.
Watch out and check for burrs on Fill probe cylinder in-let.
I cut O-rings first Fill on Probe on my gun.
Ive gathered up the funds for another now myself. That is how much I grown to like mine.
Dead com winds here late yesterday.."South east Idaho". And at 30 yrds..Bench shooting with it.
Watched Three go in the same hole and the rest group 3/4 inch.
I was using laminated Plywood for target board, and at that range..The Baracuda's 28 gr truck right threw it.. It's a killing machine no doubts.
Most of my shooting is 50 yards plus.. Pigeons on grain bins and starlings. Love how the 25 bucks the wind. My usual hold over is only a mil dot at 55 yards. Always blowing about 10 mph ..Idaho
Thinking you'll be happy with purchase...
Keep us posted.
-
Good call, Ron. I'd totally forgot about the fill probe oring getting cut easily. I just leave my probe permanently in place on the gun now.......... it doesn't bother me at all.
-
2BEERS, thanks for the heads up, I'll make sure the first think I do is check both air cylinders for burrs!
I am extremely excited about this order and looking forward to the PCP world! As far as going .25, I would rather have too much and plan for it, instead of not having enough. Plus, I really want to shoot 100 yard targets at the range and possibly hunting with it down the road.
Oh and about the laminated back stop, how thick was it?
Next will be figuring out what pellets it likes. Need to find lead free for dispatching too!
-

Lamination was 1/4 solid alder with MDF core with Solid alder 1/4 backer.....total 7/8 thick..ahahaaa. A very solid ply.
Ive been playing with lots of Designs for add on lead free-r's. Bench is covered in fact with tried out projects. One worked out supper good but the accuracy declined.
Are you running a hand pump or compressor for filling ?
-
Was going to run a hand pump, then kept reading "unless you buy a hill, you'll have to put your body weight into it" then saw that the Hill pumps are around $260.
Decided to just order a Yong Heng 110v with Set Pressure ( could only find the 110v Set pressure model on Aliexpress) since I also play paintball. This way I can fill PCP and Paintball tanks.
Saves time waiting, plus lots more time running and hour one way to the field for air which is usually around 3k, get stuck talking for at least an hout, then the hour drive home. LOL
Now I will be able to fill the good tanks to 4500psi, or at least close to it. :)
Next to research pellets. LOL Look forward to hearing what you find in pellets too. :)

Don't believe everything you read.
I recommend JSB Exact Kings 25.39
-
Xraycer, yep, I was hearing otherwise on some of the other pumps saying it wasn't that bad. :)
Just decided to go with a compressor since it will help both hobbies, plus easier for my wife and I to quick fill the PCP air cylinders when needed.
-
I had a bullboss in .25 and I would honestly recommend it for following reasons
The weight for a .22 there is lighter bullpups making close to the same power
The length also shorter .22 bullpups just to me seems to long as a .22 bullpup
Long range shooting the .25 is hands down better IMHO
Mine was shooting 915-942-910 over about 2 mags (18shots)
With 25gr jsb
Very accurate with 25gr jsb 31gr baracuda and 34gr jsb heavy
Anyway that's my personal opinion on 22 over .25 in regards to the bulboss
I would also suggest to get the wood model if shooting off a bipod the synthetic one had allot of flex
Good luck
-

Unfortunately, that isn't going to happen since it was only the Synthetic stock on sale for $449. :( Probably shoot off a bag like my ARs. Only time will tell.
-
Hope you ordered some Benjamin 27 gr.
Just received my order of them and shot 4 mags.. Seriously spot on.. and my gun absolutely loves them.
Huge confidence builder on 60 plus yards.
If you didn't..I would recommend trying a tin. Purchased form AOA.
I didn't even have to adjust scope.. where I was shooting the 27 grain Baracuda Hunters...So pumped right now.
Ordering more now.
Luck on your shooting and keep us posted.
-
Just got my bullboss in today, also a .25. It came with 2 mags so I dont know if they changed it from 3 or what.
-
The Hatsan website states comes with one magazine.
I believe all multishot at44s came with 2 mags
-
Hope you ordered some Benjamin 27 gr.
Which Benjamin pellets? There seems to be a &^^& load from each manufacturer!
Really frustrated with Amazon. They have the Barracuda Green in .177 and .22 but not in .25.
The .25 are available on their German Amazon site though. Still looking for a place selling the .25s. :(

Just did some preliminary groupings to see what pellets it had a taste for, as my bullboss is brand new, and shooting it out of the box. Here are some that I tried. All groups are 9rds (one mag) from 20 yds. Fresh 3k fill for each mag.
Shooting in the prone position. No bipod.
Its windy here today so Im sure these would shrink on a calm day but I was only doing it to see what was worth trying at 59yrds.
JSB Exact king Heavy 33.95gr .5 "
JSB Exact king Heavy MKII 33.95gr .75"
JSB Exact king. 25.39gr. 1"
H&N Baracuda. 30.8gr. Hair over. .5"
H&N Field Trophy 20gr. 1-1/16"
Predator Polymags 26gr. 7/16"
Eunjin. (Domed) 35.8gr. 1-1/8"
Eunjin (Pointed) 43.2 gr. To long for magazine.
Figured it might help you out.
The light blue circle around each group is a tracked quarter.

I bought mine recently from "Airguns of Arizona."
Brown & Black Tin... 25 cal.. 27.8 gr... 6.4mm.
Be sure to wash and lube em.. If you get some.
-
What? Wash and lube pellets?
Feel like I'm missing something.
-
What? Wash and lube pellets?
I don't have the time nor any desire to do this.

.25 Bullboss just arrived and came with 2 magazines, plus the 3 extras I ordered.
Still waiting on 2nd air chamber to come in.
Was a little sad to see the Air chamber at 0 after all the comments stating guns and spare Air Chambers have been received full.
Good news is my Yong Heng compressor arrived last weekend and Descant media is in route, but the larger Filter chamber will be a bit since I finally decided on and ordered it this morning. :(
-
Mine arrived with 50 bar.
Pumped up to 200 bar and it sat overnight without leakage.
-
Guess I am joining the Bull Boss .25 wagon also ;)

If you can, get the Woodstock, as said before the synth is a bit wiggly, not a problem in the woods. But it annoys me.

I went for the ugly black synthetic so I don't keep it locked in a cabinet ;)

You are kidding right...The Bullboss weighs 8.6lbs vs. the Marauder at 7.3lbs. Hatsans are heavier.
-
I have the at44 short and the bullboss.
The bullboss shouldered feels alot lighter due to the balance.
Even though its probly heavier than my at44 short.

You may want to reread my post. I never stated that the Bullboss weighs less than the Marauder.

If you've never shouldered the Bullboss, I suppose you just wouldn't know. I've shouldered both the Bullboss and Marauder, and due to the length and weight distribution of the Marauder, it is a bear to hold steady.....at least it is for me anyway. The heavier Bullboss feels lighter and is actually comfortable in the standing off-hand position.

I can hold my boss alot steadier than I can my AT44.
Balance changes everything.

Having both an Mrod and bullboss. I agree the bull boss feels easier to hold steady shooting off hand, i dont find the mrod hard. But the boss definitely feels easier.
I dont really do any bench shooting besides to zero so i cant speak for that.

If you can, get the Woodstock, as said before the synth is a bit wiggly, not a problem in the woods. But it annoys me.
YOU WERE NOT KIDDING!!!
The synthetic stock is NOT made out of the same material as a Synthetic rifle stock! Feels like a hard rubber instead of the usual reinforced Nylon type of synthetic stock. The rail being molded into the stock instead of a solid rail attached by screws feels cheesy! Not what I expected in this price range.
Hopefully I can find an aftermarket wood stock down the road or make my own. :(

Haha I've gotten used to it. Good thing it has a decent trigger. Like I stated earlier, sandbags are a great option as well
-
Sand bags are my go to!, I do not even have a Bipod on any of our firearms.
The impressive part is how stable the Bullboss is once shouldered! amazing!! Going to have a blast with this things! Just hope picking off Chipmunks this summer doesn't have ricochets and holes in the fence. LOL

That's why they make wood putty ;)
I have the short version of the Primos tripod, works great for hunting!

Have you tried moving bipod back towards trigger ?
This will take most of the twist out of the front section. Plus it just feels right to be able to grab up front instead of father back on stock by trigger. Least ways for me.
I also folded and inserted some cheap black hobby felt under air tube to stock ..You can trim to fit and it's almost unnoticeable.
Other then that..You still liking the Rifle ?
How was your port for fill nipple ? any burrs ?
-
Really only shouldered it and was impressed with how it felt, then saw the pressure gauge was at zero. Bummed.
Really looking forward to shooting it soon!

I also bought the .25 bullboss from field supply under $400 they shipped it today ... I have the gladius in .25 ... and that gun shoots lights out between 30-100 yards love that gun ... I have the at44 long .25 and the marauder .25 ... standing shouldered the gladius feels the best out of those 3 ... all of them are very accurate , and they all have something to offer, and I really like them all ....
another gun I just purchased ,and have now is the bt65 carnivore .30 ... tomorrow my order of .30 jsb's will come in , and the testing will start on this one- can't wait ;D I bought a 10x40x60 scope for this one thinking this will be accurate out 100 plus yard's ... Bwalton has proven these .30's have it ,if you get a good one ...cross my fingers ! ;)

Hey Dan, would you mind doing me a HUGE favor? Would you see if the Bullboss will fit into the Gladius Stock?
Also let me know what you think of the .30, i ordered one from Bwalton and should have it in about 2 weeks.
-
Read some reviews stating the Bullboss and long Gladius were pretty equal in performance.
You will have to let us know if that is true.
Like the stock on the Gladius!

What hight rings did you use on your .30?
I ended up ordering high rings for mine. I have a 56mm to put on it when it come in. From the little math I did, medium rings would have left .15" under the 56mm objective. A little to close for me, but depending on how high it is with the high rings ill give the mediums a try.
And yes the .30 is being tuned by him.

I just destroyed a raccoon ay 65 yards with the .25 cal bull boss.
Shot many in .22 cal at44 pumping out 32fpe.
Boss pumping out 50fpe.
Wow what a diffrence.
Apparently I'm more impressed then the raccoon was.
Why would anyone want .22 over .25?
My .22 will collect dust now.

especially now when hatsan makes 25 cal ammo cheap as dirt.. as does crosman.. 7 yrs ago when I had my 25 marauder, ammo was more than triple 22 ammo
-
I have read zero success stories about the hatsan ammo.

my ring height on the .30 is .. 1.1 actual sight height ....I have about 3/16 or so clearance on that 60 mm to the barrel ,the 60 HIRAM has multi coated lenses and etched in the glass reticle , I also noticed on this scope the whole inside of the scope does not light up just the very fine cross hairs and mildots when you turn on the battery pack ...
this is a bargain scope with the better features you would find on the high end brand name scopes ...you can see the difference outside during the day on scope lenses here since we are having a lot of overcast darker days ... this 60 is staying well lit up with these low light conditions ...
did some shooting and tunning on the .30 getting jsb44 ..880-890fps for 9 shots at 2800psi fill and the last shot on the second clip is 850fps .... and I mean PIN POINT accuracy at 50 yards .. just as good as my .25's are no doubt ! more testing ahead on this .30 for sure ...
back to the .25 bullboss mine is on the way in ... I decided after testing the new HIRAM scope on the .30 that it was a no brainer to put one on the bullboss so I ordered it up ... $110 shipped fleebay ...

Very similar to my experiences, but with Marauders. My .22 is tuned for 31fpe and the .25 for 56fpe. Big difference in satisfaction between the two. I rarely pull the .22 out anymore except for birds. I am fixing to crank up the power on my .25 even more and see how it does. Undetermined yet as to whether I will leave it that way or bring it back down to 56fpe which is working quite well for me currently.

My pellet of choice, for the Bullbosd, as well.

yep ... and if you buy a .30 the .25 might rarely get pulled out ... for hunting that is ...the .25 is way cheaper to shoot.
ammo in .30 is way over priced .... I think soon we will be able to cast our own like we do with the bigger stuff ,I am just waiting for more test results on .25 and .30 designs that are just coming out ...

Todays observations........
At44 .22 tuned it to shoot 21 grain cudas at 900fps
Boss .25 shooting 25 grain jsb at 900 fps
Placed cans out to 50-110-150 and 230 yards.
On chairgun the boss only had 16fpe at 150 yards
The at44 had 14fpe
At that power level at 150 yards would 2 fpe matter since it would probly not expand the lead?
My AT44 seemed eaiser to hit the targets with. Its more accurate than my boss at this time.AT44 sports the hatsan air stripper.
Im confussed about my results.
I need to buy the .22 mk2 25 grains and re test.
On chairgun the flight trajectories look close.
So until then my at44 will be my sniper combo.Shooting about 1.5" groups at 110 yards just on a bipod.
Boss is about a 2" but not broken in yet and out the box performance besides adding a full turn more hammer preload to try to launch 33 grains faster.
So far I like the 25 grain performance.

Sounding like I'm going to have a really fun summer! :)
I think in the beginning I'll just run my Hawke XB30 IR SR compact and decide if I get something different down the road. Picked up the XB30 for First strike rounds in Paintball but the fields have not been FSR friendly since I bought it and decided to stick with round ball so I have never used it.
Midwayusa had a sale going on so I grabbed a tin of H&N Sport Field Target Trophy (19.91gr), Grizzly (31gr), and Baracuda Hunter Extreme. Still have the JSBs in my saved list on Amazon to order down the road.
You guys carry your magazines in anything special or just your pocket?
-
I have some small clip on pouches , and a JSB pellet pouch I keep mags in.
Still looking of a way to make on board storage ::)

Will somebody please post a shot string of their bullboss in .25 cal.
And I would also like to see what a min and max power range is with the hammer spring adjustment. I am more interested in shot count by giving up fps.
-
Finally put everything together for the compressor today and filled the BullBoss, Fired one shot and put it away. Not sure if the loud noise was from the Airgun for the 28gr pellet smacking the tree but wow what an echo! LOL

931 - 907 first mag 907 - 860's 2nd mag .... .25 jsb 25.39g stock out of the box no mods at all ...
-
Mine is shooting about the same , out of the box, I;m still on the fence on backing the hammer spring back or bumping it up a 1/4 turn or so. I have some Nelson .250 hollow points to test if they cycle in the mag ok.

In my experiance the hammer spring preload dod not do much.
.25 grain I can get up to 930fps
27 grain 880 fps and 33 grain about 815 fps.
18 shots extreme spread of 11-13
27 shots extreme spreads about 60
Pretty great numbers.
I could not get 33 grain ammo to fly faster than 815 fps though.
Even with a thicker spacer and more hamner preload.
More preload offered less fps.
Its lowest preload yeilded 700fps average for 35 shots probly could have gotten 44 shots
-
what caliber do you already have? I have .22. So all mine will be .22. My bullboss has a huma regulator in it, 3 full magazines at around 873, drops off after 30 shots to 830 or so. Very accurate.
-
Here was my out of the box shot string.
https://www.gatewaytoairguns.org/GTA/index.php?topic=136066.0 (https://www.gatewaytoairguns.org/GTA/index.php?topic=136066.0)
After my hammer issues its shooting slightly slower but still a consistant string and low extreme spread.
With 30 grain barracudas the e.s. was 9

The bullboss out of the box shoots the best with the jsb .25 25.39g pellets , they also work the best so far in my other 3= .25 guns ... grub screw mod to the valve .....some port work, and you could get the heavy stuff up to 900 fps .... but I really think the 25.39 is going to have the better shot count ,and most likely most accurate .... and more than anything accuracy kills ....
...and if you need more fpe just grab a carnivore .30 ! it pretty much doubles fpe with that gun jsb 44-50g pellets are the choice ones although I do have some new pellet molds coming soon that are very close design to jsb that Bob R .30 designed if these turn out to be accurate this will be a game changer for .30 cal guns then we can make our own way cheaper ammo ... the new molds come with 3 pin sets to create 3 different weight pellets ... the pin sets create the hollow area in the tail ....
now what does that have to do with our .25 guns ? .... they are also going to make these molds for .25 ;D ;D ;D SWEET !
if you get a pellet trap and collect all the pellets after you shoot ...you can just melt the smashed pellets ,and make new ones CHEAP ! I do this for my big bore guns ,and trust me its the better way to shoot all the way around , you can cast ,and custom size ammo to the particular barrel that you are shooting .. ;)
-
I have quite a few molds for th4e .257. I wold love to try some of the cast pellets, however, we all know how pellet fussy an AG can be.
I don't know that I am willing to risk the money on a pig in a poke. I want to hear some results! ;) But first, they have to make the molds. LOL
