Title: Custom BSA R10
Post by: Tricky-Ricky on November 16, 2017, 11:31:17 AM
Recently bought myself an R10, and withing days i had already modded it with an SSG device to get the abysmal shot count up from 70 to double that, left the regulator alone as its working fine at the moment, but as soon as it shows signs of problems it will get changed out for a Huma reg.

Its a super carbine so only comes with a silencer, so i turned up a couple of spacers and fitted a barrel shroud, just recently i got to thinking of making a a nice Coloured laminate stock, but it just happened that one of the guys on an English air gun forum was selling a nice FT style red and black laminate stock with a very small bit of damage, which i managed to get at a really good price, in fact on pricing the laminate blank and all the fittings i am sure i got this stock cheaper.

So i gave it a sand and two coats of Danish oil, made a bling but spacer, and its now looking pretty dam good IMO.

I must be missing something here.....where do you rest your cheek to get the scope eye relief you need?

Beautiful R10 by the way....I love mine.

The scope has a spacer fitted so i get optimal eye relief every time, so there is somewhere to rest your cheek, but i don't always rest anyway.

Beautiful work, that stock just flows as if it were liquid.Sometimes I don't care for the laminate wood but when done right it is remarkable.
