Hey Chet Pyramyd Air has a special going on right now on pellets. If you add 4 tins to your cart you will only pay for 3, the 4th tin will be free. Then enter promo code “GATEWAY-PYRAMYD” for an additional 10% off.
Last night I purchased 8 tins of .30... paid for 6 and got 2 free ($32 worth), plus the 10% savings on the 6 I paid for.

It's not a special, PA always has the Buy 3, Get the 4th free deal on pellets....just remember to use the GATEWAY-PYRAMYD code at checkout and get that extra 10% off.
Airgun Depot also always has a Buy 3 Get the 4th free deal, just no 10% off code.

Oh I didn’t know that. Good to know it doesn’t expire and I can continue to save $.

My Hatsan likes Air Arms Diabolo Field .25 Cal, 25.4 Grains, Domed, 350ct
and Polymags the most ;)

You might consider having him get the .25 cal sampler box from Straight Shooters. It's $35, but it has 15 different kinds/brands of pellets in it and it might save you money in the long run by showing you what pellets group better than others so you can buy just those ones and not have almost full tins just sitting that you bought only to find out they don't shoot well.

Wish I could help more but the only Hatty I own with that kind of power is my Galatian pcp which has quite a bit more and I use the JSB 25.39gr in it, so hopefully a few owners of the 135 .25 will chime in with what shoots well in theirs.

Not a 135, but my new (ish) Mod 95 really likes JSB King 25.39 gr domes. If that gun has the "juice" they're supposed to you might consider Eunjins. I have a tin of Eunjin 35.8 gr pellets that look weird, fit tight, and group well (at twenty, about as far as I would shoot them with my gun) in spite of being a bit slow and loopy out of the 95. They may be a viable hunting round out of that beast-135.
-
Eunjin 35.8 gr pellets are a bit of a stretch for even the high power hatsan break barrels, 20 yards and under accuracy is ok , but minimal gain in FPE, from that of a slightly lighter heavyweight pellet, like JSB Diabolo Exact King, .25 Cal, 33.95 Grains, Domed, deliver the best power with accuracy for my hatsan.

My 95 doesn't have near the power of your 135 but pellets that shoot well out to 30 yards (the limit of my current shooting area), in the heavier weight range and may?? work well with that higher powered beast. All have been proven in my lowered powered 95 out to 30 yards and all do very nasty things to small game so if your son is planning to hunt, they may work well:
H&N Crow Magnum 26.23gr, hollow point, not much heavier than the JSB's and account for several squirrels and 1 bandit.
H&N Baracuda 31.02gr, rounded point, the heavier weight should work well in the 135 and with the power, carry farther but past 30 in my 95 drop pretty quickly.
H&N Baracuda Hunter Extreme 28.4gr, X shaped hollow point for better expansion and another pellet that just does nasty things to small game.
All 3 are in the sampler box from Straight Shooters I posted the link to above, so again, an easy way to try them without the expense of a full tin if they end up not shooting well.
