in AAFTA history. Not only did he win his Division, he had the overall match high score, beating out all other Divisions. That was a first. I'd say it was the toughest course of all five AAFTA Nationals that I have attended. Big congratulations again to Scott Schneider (Motorhead).

Way to go partner and National Championship winner in hunter class. And using a cobra inspired valve in his gun makes me even more happy, short lock time and Scotty’s mad skills is a winning combo. ;D
-
Congratulations and very well done mate

Congrats Scott!

Whoa!! WTG Big Guy. Congrats.

Shooting high score of the match is normal for an Open Class or WFTF shooter. But it's not (regularly) natural for a Hunter PCP shooter, especially at the National Match.
So...
Congrats to Scott S. (Motorhead) for posting the match high 106/120 at the Nationals this year, besting ALL other shooters in all other divisions. Truly an other-worldly performance.
Hat's off to you, Scott!

Nice shooting Motorhead!
I don't know much about the competition, what was the format and gun used?
-
Great shooting and way to show those fools 16x is not needed. Will you be making your way to the east coast next year to defend your title? I would feel slighted if not ;)
-
Whoa is right ... what a range of emotions these past couple days.
In retrospect it was blast starting at sight in range meeting folks from around the Country, Puerto Rico & Venezuela. People in the Air gun sports are the BEST being all so similar in a great attitude.
This being my first nationals simply because it was close enough to attend tho still a 1800 mile journey over the 6 days invested Driving too, Lodging & Site trips and getting Back home.
Field target ... that fringe area so many who shoot air rifles simply know little of or have tried, is ..... IMO so satisfying being the equivalent of 1000 yard center fire with a pellet gun !
THANK YOU for the kudo's, it is heart felt :-*

Thank you Bob !
It was great to meet you among others that have been names without faces for far too long ;D
-
Jeepers Scott! I'm elated when I score 75% in Hunter FT. One of these days I have to get out to the left coast for some pointers and a Motorhead Tune! Just absolutely outstanding.

Congrats Scott! Mighty fine shooting!!👏👏👏

Shooting a 106/120 and the high score at the 2017 AAFTA National Match is an amazing feat. Great shooting.
(BTW, I posted this last night, but it was deleted, for no apparent reason. Maybe this one will stick)

Way to go Scott! It was great to meet you and congrats on your phenomenal performance. Look forward to sharing the lanes with you again very soon!

Bob,
Not sure why, but it looks like all congratulations for Motorhead are getting combined into a single thread in the GTA Announcement Gate. Your original post was not deleted, but it was moved:
https://www.gatewaytoairguns.or/GTA/index.php?topic=134652.msg1343402#msg1343402 (https://www.gatewaytoairguns.org/GTA/index.php?topic=134652.msg1343402#msg1343402)

Congratulations partner, I always knew you had it in you. You created a rifle that was capable of the task at hand and then you led it through its paces. Your performance on Saturday was unworldly, you buried the best shooters in the country. You had to have been there to appreciate what you accomplished, it doen't get any better.
Mission accomplished.

Ah, I see it there now. Thanks, Scott. Great it's on a forum that no one reads (I did not know it existed, at least).
Maybe after all is forgotten, the whole thread will be moved to the FT Gate where it will occasionally be seen and appreciated.
Don't mind me. I'm just an old forum Admin with questions.
-
Was not deleted. There is a thread in the Announcement Gate that your post and this one will be added to.
We need to keep these in one place so Scott can find them easier.
LOL
As well as everyone else.
VERY proud of our family member Scott!!!

Looks like all your years hard work and tuning paid off. Field target looks like it would be a blast.
Maybe put up a post showing the gun you used, scope, pellets etc. I'd like to learn more.

From there most of the internals have been changed out for custom parts that I made in house over the last couple years of R&D working with the gun. "Motorheads AG Tuning services" ;)
Custom valve, Custom hammer, Custom SSG spring devise, Custom "Cobra" mod, Custom trigger blade, Reworked regulator, HW barrel in .20 cal fitted & prepped in house fitted with a Custom LDC.
Optics the MTC / Optisan Viper 4-16x50 used at 12x. Pellet JSB Exact 13.72 w/ size, weight & uniformity checked.
Then painstaking attention to detail in balancing reg pressure to hammer strike getting gun to settle in delivering +/- ES figures inside 10fps from 3k fill to @ 1500 refill ( Makes @ 150+ shots per fill too )
Wish to learn more about Field Target ... ;D CLICK on the Sacramento Valley Field Target Club link at bottom of post & look around the clubs site where MUCH is explained with pictures.

Thanks for the posting.

Wonder why we don't see Ted Bier or Matt Dubber or any of the Extreme Bench shooters?
-
Not the least bit surprised Scott,
Great Work .... as usual ;)
-
Amazing job Scott. We are all so proud of you.
The fact that your score was higher than all the other match classes to me means that you could have probably won all the classes if you could compete in all of them. That is nothing short of extraordinary. A very well deserved championship win. CONGRATS!!

Congrats indeed !
