For years I've been seeing photos of people in Asian countries, mostly China I think, starting their day in some public park doing graceful, disciplined movements with Tai Chi. It keeps them healthy, reduces stress and provides some nice, simple focus before the day begins with it's busy distractions.
This morning (8am), in Iowa on a cool (41F) fall morning with some fog, my start of day goes like this:
Open the door to the deck, pick up the Discovery (w/TKO), chamber a GTO pellet in .22, brace my hand & rifle against the door frame, pick out a dangling 5" metal target in my forest, breathe, squeeze, get a "tunk" from a hit at 40 yards and start my day.
I try to do all of this with as much grace, flowing motion and serenity as I can. 🙂
Some times I end my day the same way.

That's what I am telling my family, this is a combination of physical therapy (with break barrel) plus meditation.

I just showed my missus the cost of a box of '06 vs a tin of pellets. Then, I dropped the mike.
