Marko
Google African Air Ordnance facebook or as you put it F**book lol
-
Nice and to think 3 years ago people said it could not be done I am glad someone else did it.
-
with the extreme I have shot over 1450 FPS with a 280 grain slug. Keep up the good work Helium is the future of big bore air rifles. I have the new booster in the works that goes to over 6000 psi and a proto type rifle to shoot these high pressures the numbers I am getting will blow your mind but that is for another day not ready to sell yet but we are getting very close to firearm capabilities.

If it can beat Markos benchmark consider my mind blown.
-
Helium is for guns that can't make enough power on air.
Texan valve I built makes well over 700 fpe on 3500 psi and made 908 fpe on 4500.
How much more do you really need?
Soon we will run helium in it and I bet it makes 1100-1200 fpe on 3000 psi.

Then Marko probably do some tricks and get more power ;D nah maybe he had enough
-
Yeah not going to happen. I don't see them doubling what they make now.

Do you realize that a foster fitting that you are filling with is only rated at 4500 psi max?

That is Awesome
We are comfortably in the 800s fpe on air and getting 5 heavy kill shots with around 4 usable shots after those 5 on a 490 cc tank so our air consumption is really good this was important for a guy going out hunting in the field as its not practical to be tethered to a 6l carbon fiber bottle I have no doubt if we start running bullets in the 350 grain to 405 grain on Helium we will be in the 1200 + fpe range
-
I have your valve here and it is just a copy of the stock valve minus the return spring.
You need to check your chrony because it will not even get close to what you claim. Had a guy complain to me that he bought your valve because of Mr. Hollowpoints review and it didn't even come close to the numbers.
-
Well this is the reason we double check our numbers with chrony and Labradar.
Marko

Yep

.

Doug why do you have to be so negative with other peoples testing and products. I think that the use of helium is awesome and so do some others. For you to say that helium is only for air rifles that dont shoot good on air you wrong it is just an option for people to get ALOT more power.

This looks like warning to my eyes..
-
You do realize that there are many fittings out there that well exceed 6000 PSI ratings. I heard all the same things when I come out with the 4500 PSI fill a lot of negative things were said. Now look where the rest air rifle industry is heading higher pressure in a few years all the pressures will be higher.

Who SELLS 6000 psi QUICK DISCONNECT FEMALE fittings????? I buy 6000 psi fittings but have NEVER found a quick disconnect FOSTER over 4700 psi and some are ONLY 4200 psi.......WHERE can it be purchased???

There isnt and not only that there are not enough threads to support the foster in a taper fitting for it to be even close to safe.
-
wow really you think there are not fittings out there rated way higher than you think. Anyway I am not using fittings like you are thinking so that is the end of that they will meet the three to one safety margin that I require so that means failure will be over 18,000 PSI. Second of all with a 4200 PSI rated fitting it will not fail until 12,600 PSI at least even with the thread tolerances at the high limit for the internal threads and the external threads at there minimum so I would not even be concerned to pressurize it to 6000 PSI with the foster type fitting. Also do you actually know what PSI stands for (pounds per square inch) do the math with a 1/8 pipe thread. I have done destructive testing with my charge tubes and they fail well above 12,600 PSI and the foster fitting never failed there is not a charge tube built on any air rifle that will handle more pressure than the foster 1/8 pipe thread (fitting) threaded into aluminum. Do all the math calculations you want and then forget them and send them out and have them tested.
-
Oh ya forgot one thing change the amount of thread engagement you have. To get the maximum strength out of a pipe thread you need to make sure that %90 of the male fitting are engaged then use thread tape and torque it to the proper setting (not just until it does not leak) also there can not be any burrs on each thread so with the Teflon tape you get a true lubed torque. A dry torque will never be correct!!!!! Next what material are you using for your calculations just using aluminum wont work look up how many different types of aluminum there are now compared to what they had when all these formulas were made.
-
all the nitrogen fill assemblies are rated for 6k , but , I'm not sure its the same gear.from what I'm seeing , it is /

You keep thinking that way.........Your 4200 psi analogy is &^^&........I had one 1/8" foster Female I needed quick and went to Paintball store.........Sold me one............Charged my tank and had hands full, checked gauge and was 4500 psi and walked across garage to set down part and was going to turn off fill. FITTING FAILED. Blew Fill whip around into compressor leg, broke it and oil all over, tank was open and broke gauge on tank and was rolling down driveway. Took Foster back to shop and owner said well those are Chinese and rated at 4200 psi, you over stressed it. I asked why you sell this &^^& when you fill tanks to 4500 and did mine till i got a compressor?
I have found 1/4" foster Female quick connect fittings rated at 7500 psi.....But all airguns I see are 1/8".
And your INSULTING, " do you know what PSI MEANS", is also a crock.....The PSI ratings are WORKING PRESSURES and thinking you can work up into the safety factor may work for awhile but will catch up to you......
Also MY .45 TEXAN makes more power than stuff you build at 3500 psi, than you do at 4500 psi.....Mine at 4500 can make 900 fpe so I know a little about pressure.........My HASKEL Booster is capable of 10,000 psi according to specs....
I think what D0ug meant you needing HELIUM to make some power........I will soon post videos of shooting a .45 at 1000 and over 1000 yds with 383 gr bullets, 412 grain bullets and PSI at 3500. Your accuracy tests show 50 yds and maybe a 100 yds?........WOW.......I shot last 2 weeks at 500 meters, 545 yds on STEEL RAMS......Can bang out shots on that RAM with 455 gr, and lower weight bullets.....I have groups of 5, at under 6 inches, 7 inches and couple of 3 shot groups 2 1/2 inches or less at 545 yds. Put 20 on RAM Tuesday @ 545 yds.......My airgun at 1000 yds according to ballistic tables is still making 500 fpe at 1000 yds. Have several videos to process...........Post when weather is not good as won't be shooting........
Below is pic of 383 gr slugs off steel plate shot at 1000 yds........When your guns can do what mine does, then you can give me lessons, not before............Carl

whatever all you want to do is argue. Have a good one im out . whoever said you are god misspoke byy byy

rifle 50 re think things you are wrong you may shot long range good but rifle building aint your thing
-
VERY SUIRE ON WHAT I DO
-
I started the 4500 PSI thing and helium also so GFYS. RIFLE 50

all you do with Doug is flap your mouth

I've tried to sit back and stay out of this. I've let you know I was watching. But that didn't seem to matter. We will not have this type of exchange here. It's absolutely non-productive to anyone and helps foster an atmosphere we have worked our tails off for years to prevent. It seems a few have forgotten so I advise all of you to take a few minutes to refresh yourself with the forum rules. There will ne NO personal attacks on anyone here. Try to show the respect for others that YOU would expect given to you. Don't lower yourself to the gutters by slinging arrows in public. Violations of the rules will be dealt with and you may find yourself on a short vacation while you cool down.
Now it's up to you.

I have a lot of respect for you and what you have done in the industry .
I will be the first to admit we had problems when we started on this project .
But to say its identical to a factory valve is not accurate Statement
First after we went back to the drawing board to redesign it we beefed up the side wall of the valve body with the M18x1.5mm thread on it.
This valve also did away with the brass insert for retaining the valve return spring . We also added extra o ring to the valve end cap to keep the Top hat traveling straight to help prevent valve stems from been bent . .
The only thing from the factory original we retained were the Plastic Poppet , the Top Hat and the internal bore size thats it.
We did also bring out a quick flow Top Hat which your customer used during the development of your valve mod infact I had to send him extra ones which I did at no charge We chose not to use this Top hat on our production valve as it was causing dumping when used without a valve return spring at low pressure .
With our move toward Helium we we once again have made changes on our 3rd generation valve we have changed to our own Burst disc design and quick disconnect
We currently have in production a mod that we will offer to our current customer at cost . the new mod
Includes the following
New valve end cap with increased bore size
New designed poppet for the increased bore size
New beefed up valve stem to handle the extra stress that is put on the poppet due to increased bore size of the endcap Gas Nitrated for extra strength
New longer hammer also Gas Nitrated for strength
New Hammer spring
This mod will give our customers the choice to have range gun and want to be tethered where they dont have to worry how many shots per fill or they can switch back for hunting and increase there shot count
If a customer has ever had an issue with anything we have made I have gone out of my way to address the issue as quickly as possible and just like in the beginning of this project when we had problems we were 100% open and we addressed the situation head on .
We corrected the problem and replaced all the problem valves at no cost to our customers
I still owe a dept of gratitude to the members on this forum ,who know who they are for there advice and guidance
,Thank you guys

Jeez!!!! . Really guys David

Personally, I get REALLY tired of all the Big Bore "Experts" who think their way is the only way.... The amount of negativity expressed in this thread, by several individuals, is disheartening.... JMO....
Bob
-
Absolutely agree Bob. This is no place for that kind of junk!!!
-
I get tired of it also but take a very close look at this thread and you will see the two that started the negativity on this thread it was rifle 50 and Doug. Matter of fact any time I or Allen Averam, Mike Pangle, or Chris Alls make a post these two people make nothing but negative comments. Chris Alls who won the EBR a couple years ago and was a great air gunner sold every air rifle he owned because he was so mad at the negativity of these two people. I get it I may not say the correct things here also but it all starts because a few people shoot there mouth and make a lot of post turn bad. GTA maybe say something to them they are not good for this site saying the things they say. Example the African air guy or whatever he goes by he did a great test with helium so I posted nice work (positive things) and they have to come on here and say (your valve is basically junk and helium guns are only for rifles that are junk for air) is that positive feed back? I have almost lost every bit of respect for this site because you block or blame the wrong person for an out of control post not realizing it got out of control because of the negative things you let go to get it out of control. With all this being said I have no problem NEVER getting back on here if you don't stop the people being negative about a very cool project like this man has done. Please don't PM me with an answer post it so everybody can see the response.

Well Brent, there ARE more than one person that has posted in this thread with content that is unacceptable to GTA standards. Since you requested no private message, but post here for all to see, I'm very tempted to say a few things. But to prevent violating my own principles, I will not. But rest assured, I have plenty to say. And past records to back it up.
Fact is we don't need this type of exchange by ANYONE on this forum.
You have to also take into consideration the quality and quantity of contributions some members make to the community and this forum. And I am not talking financial. We are not about money, we ARE about the exchange of airgun information. And I think there are some here (in this very thread) that do a hellova lot to increase the value of GTA Forums and the community. This thread is locked. There is no need for tossing more gasoline onto a fire.
Everyone have a great evening.
