Finally made it to the NC airgun show today after two years of conflicting dates with another event. I must say that I was impressed with the selection of air guns that were there. As luck would have it, I found the gun that I have coveted for several years. I found a sweet HW30D for $250! It has been upgraded with Vortek internals. It came with the original box with hang tags, original spring, muzzle break, and the hooded sight with all the inserts. The gun looks nearly brand new. I've never cocked an airgun that is as smooth as this one and the shot cycle is just a pleasent thump with NO twang. I couldn't be more pleased and I am anxious to scope it and see just what it will do. Y'all get out to that show if you get a chance! All smiles here! Bill in SC

Hi Bill, I was there with Grackle Blaster when you bought it. You got a good one for sure! He babies his guns and I have shot that one on several occasions.
We had a great day and probably spoke with other forum members during the day. Hopefully we made folks happy with our prices and found good homes for items we no longer needed. I came home with a few dollars more than I left with. Tomorrow will be a larger group and a chance to meet and talk with fellow airgunners.
Come look us up. I will be the good looking old guy with lots of .457 cal ammo and other goodies.

Thanks for the reply Mr007s! I won't be able to attend tomorrow as I will be working on my Model A rat rod. Tell Grackle Blaster how pleased I am! Btw, in my excitement, I forgot what pellets he said shoots the best in her. If you could please find out for me and post it up, or PM me, I'd appreciate it. Hope y'all have good luck selling tomorrow!

Hello Bill, thanks for the kind words from you and by shootin' buddy mr 007s. You got a great gun and I'm glad that it found a good home. The favorite pellets are JSB 7.87 and the JSB 8.44. Both pellets will give you great groups. Enjoy, and again thanks for your purchase and the kind words. Hope to see you there next year!

Very similar experience here. Made it this year after a number of years of conflicts and excuses.
Also caught up with grackle blaster and mr007s myself. GB had a tuned HW50S that just cycled so smoothly when I tested it on the range out back of the exhibit hall...as much as I'd told myself I don't need another break barrel before I arrived...we made a deal and it went home with me.
Great meeting up with a couple fellow GTA'ers and I know the new HW is going to put many a smile on my face. If you're anywhere near driving distance, the weather is going to be great tomorrow - check out the show!

I was there as well, couldnt find a .50 cal, so had to buy from pyramydair. Did however get an awesome deal on a pair of innovairtech .357s from a vendor (airgunsofvirgina). Really glad I meet him, been exceptional for knowledge, even mailed an adapter piece for free. Did see the .357 benjamin bulldog in camo for 650, wish I would have got it. I was really disappointed at how 90% of the vendors where headstrong wanting full blown retail pricing for items. Glad you found something you wanted, while I got a great deal on those 2 rifles, they only had 1 of the 3 air rifles available I went for. Special thanks to Reid from airgunsofvirgina for such an awesome deal on the demo rifles.

Mike has the most beautiful stocks in the world!!!! I just wish he was RIGHT-handed. :(
Maybe not, as then I'd feel even worse that he doesn't sell them.
And he is a very nice guy. We had dinner together Saturday. He is a true gentleman.

I agree Joe, some of his stocks are absolutely breathtaking. Even if they're left handed, lol. We've talked on the phone and have done deals in the past, but I do hope to meet him one day.
BTW, hats off to you on some FINE shooting at EBR!
