So far looking at RWS 46 and 460 magnum both in 22 cal. What are your thoughts on either or both?
-
Given my experience with the accuracy of my Diana 48 the 460 is definitely on my Bucket List.
And yes, I have a TX 200 to which the 48 compares very favorably in accuracy.

I have the D460 in .177 and it is an accurate magnum springer no knowledge of the RWS 46 but if it is anything like the D460 you are going to have a hard hitting accurate springer that is well made. That is not to say that a little TLC won't make it better

The D460mag is the spinoff of the D46 which then turned into the T05 460 magnum, early T05 460's had breakage problems with the cocking levers and lever parts, the 46 with its design was ok and strong enough for the 46, but when Diana tried to up the power of the 46 to make the 460mag Diana didn't beef up the cocking levers or linkage parts and the heavier spring for the 460 was to much for the 46 design, so Diana had to make improvements to the 460's to with stand the stronger spring, the T06 versions are much better rifle! and the 460 can be detuned if u like as well ;D :P

My D460 is the T06 variant with the Vortek kit installed the trigger is great and I gave my trigger some TLC when I installed the spring kit also Ultimox #226 synthetic grease was used

If a sidelever is under consideration, you can't go wrong with the D48 or D52.
On edit.....Oops...I see you already have a D48/.22! :-[

Don't forget the HW97K, everyone that owns one loves it...... can't go wrong.

Now we’re talking. I’d recommend you look at the HW77/97, TX200 and LGU before looking at anything else. I have an HW77K .177 and it’s stellar. It did get outfitted with an Ed Canoles o-ring seal w. Krytox, detuned to 7ft lbs and has a Steve Corcoran walnut sporter stock, Leupold EFR 6.5-20, but the reason why I did all that is because it was my favorite airgun to begin with and I wanted it to be as good as possible. At 10m it will shoot 5 pellets into a single 4.5mm hole with H&N Finale Match Light pellets, same as my Feinwerkbau 150.

A couple of my shooting buddies are attending the airgun trade show in NC. I called one up and had him look around. He found a seller with a sweet deal on a D460 T06. So I paypaled the seller the funds and my friend bringing the gun back with him.

Norman, What caliber is the rifle I think that if it is .177 nothing less than JSB Diabolo 8.44 or 10.34 gr Mine likes the 10.34 JSB or Air Arms in 10.34 gr best and gives the best accuracy under a dime at 25 yards on a calm day and I am an old fart 50 yards is slightly bigger unless I am having a banner day.
Enjoy the new rifle with a little TLC they are an incredible pellet rifle

Don it's a 22 cal. I will be shooting it mostly in my backyard at 35 yards max. On occasion I will take it out to the place I can shoot at longer distances and shoot cans at 80 yards.
-
;D You will like it I can't suggest a pellet but 13+ gr is a good starting point either Air Arms or JSB should shoot well in it.

Hey Brother Norm, my HW77 .22 and TX200HC .22 love the GTO pellet, HN FTT 5.53 CPUM 14.3 RWS Super Domes work well too. Maybe this will help you my Friend
Best of Luck Brother Man

Thanks Chacho. I have some RWS super domes I will try. The CPUM work better in my 350 than the super domes so I will try all the 22 pellets I have.
