i have a good lothar choked barrel, but some bad luck when i was away i forgot to lube the barrel and when i came back there was some rust at the choke about 7mm down, i think there are some pitting already at the bore surface, already see some accuracy issues,
question is if i cut the 7 mm pitted bore that leaves me about 17-18 mm choke lenght,
would it affect accuracy in a negative way?
rifle is used for br25

I would first try scrubbing with a mildly aggressive bore cleaner.
If that does not work then cut off the damage & recrown.
Would think so long as choke area remains LONGER than the pellets that is being shot exit stability will still be provided.
