My Urban is almost where I want it, just awaiting the arrival of my regulator, changed the trigger to a CDT GRT 4 Trigger, what a difference, needed to create a small pin for the trigger, as the existing Gamo unit has the plastic pin as part of the actual trigger...However, while I had the gun apart I reduced the hammer spring adjuster with an allen key by about 3.5 rotations, total movement was around 12-13 rotations, I wanted to see what difference it made to pellet speed, the only change is the gun is now suddenly very loud, a loud pop seems to be coming from the shroud, re-adjusted it back to its original position and its is still very loud...Trying to get my head around it, any advice would be great :'(, as she was quiet prior to me adjusting ...
Here are some pics..

have you checked the oring on the bolt probe? my coyote got loud and less accurate one day and it took me a few days to figure it out. replaced the probe oring that was missing a chunk and all returned to normal.
i used an appropriate sized drill bit shank to make a pin to install my CDT trigger with zero wobble. polished a couple of the moving parts and re bent the sear spring to achieve a lighter pull with no creep.
good luck, hope this helps.

Thanks Geronimo appreciate the heads up, will take a look at it...

Did you have the LDC off? Is it possible to get the baffles in backwards? Just guessing, I don't have an Urban..... yet.

Hi Avatar, no unfortunately the thing is fused of glued to the barrel... Geronimo hit the nail on the head - The Oring on the bolt probe had miraculously disappeared...So I need to get a 005 or 006 Tomorrow and slip it on...On another note I have been toying with ordering a 22 BSA Buccaneer Barrel from John Knibbs International, just so I can get rid of the LDC and put something decent on the end....

The Gamo barrel is actually a BSA barrel. You should be able to use a heatgun and remove the pickled on the end. Though IIRC the Bucc's barrel is threaded, which cuts down on potential headaches in a huge way.
And then you can machine the old barrel and add to a 2240, because Lego.

No heat gun is going to get that ugly looking pickled end off that way the barrel is grooved from the factory and how the ldc is molded to the barrel. The best way I have found to remove it (which will destroy it in the process) is to cut it off on the lathe and with surgical precision to avoid damage to the barrel, remove the molded parts of plastic with a sharp, positive rake cutting tool.
