Title: VERY tight end cap (above rocker safety)

I'm trying to get the rear end cap (above the rocker safety) off, and it is extremely snug. No wiggle room at all.  I tried wrapping rubber around it and gripping it with vise grips and twisting it. No dice, even after heating the pump tube near it with a heat gun.  I'm leary of putting a punch through the trigger holes and twisting for fear of breaking those lugs off.

Any suggestions for getting this off without mangling the cap? It's in real nice shape, the black finish is unblemished.

Spray a little pb blaster, or other penetrating lubricant in there. Let it sit over night.

That did the job. I don't know why I didn't think of that, I always have some PB Blaster laying around. I still had to pound on it with a wooden dowel and hammer but the Blaster allowed it to be moved. Thanks Scott.
